Caller ID says MSKCC - rings four times and than hangs up. I'm on a "do not call" list and still get these annoying calls. I want them stopped

IF THEY FAIL TO ACT, THEY ARE GUILTY TOO. I recieved the same phone call yesterday They claimed that I was the "Prime Suspect" in a case that was filed against me in my state. They also had the heavy middle eastern accent you all write about and they sounded as if they were reading a script. The 1st call was a message left on my cell and when I called the number the person claimed to be Jacob Brown from the Law offices of John Washington and Associates. They demanded that I pay the amount of $620.75 in order to stop this from going to Court today at 11am.  I needed to write a letter (affidavit- my word, not theirs). authorizing them to w/draw that amount from my acct. They wanted all my credi/debit card acct info including exp dt and CVV code, my SS#, mailing address and a copy of my Driver's License!!! They also wanted me to have this letter notarized. When I told them I had to pay for the notary as well, they said it was okay to send w/out it and they will notarize it themselves. That's what gave them away to me. I did some research on the number the call came from. it was an 818 area code (CA) and the Fax # has a 951 arrea code (TX). I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office and with the FTC. Please, Please don't fall into this scam they will rip you off take all your money and then have the nerve to say God Bless you and Good luck. Are you F***ing kidding me? Hopefully w/ all of us filing these complaints and posts we can stop these ignorant b*****ds once and for all. So..." Good Luck" to THEM in trying to get way with This sh*

I received a simliar phone call from 661-270-6715 and the person claimed to be a Steven Morales.  He told me I took a loan from American Pay-Day and that I was going to be sued.  I had no idea what this person was talking about ... he tells me that I was given a loan and have not made any arrangements to pay them back.  The money that was loaned to me was deposited into my bank account for me .... unfortunately for this person I do not have a bank account!!  This is complete BS .... and this person does not know who they are messing with.  My godmother happens to be an FBI Agent .... and now this little information will be passed on to her.

Same here ... Got call from a John Frederick @ John Washington & Assoc. (I only found in TX)
The call comes in from: 916-395-0000 (not in service).
He calls me on my cell and leaves several msgs.
The # he leaves for me to call him directly is:  818-538-9561.  He leaves me a VM on my cell and says that I need to call him immediately &  if I dont call him back that all he can do is wish me good luck.

He called me at work and put "the officer" on the line with me.
Said this was more important than my job.
Heavy middle eastern (India) accent.
Says there is a criminal law suit filed against me. That they need my atty information who is representing me.
That I have to be in court tomorrow morning at 11:00  or pay $8,982.87 in fees.
Would not answer any questions I asked. Told him he was full of BS - this upset him.
He was mad that i wasnt upset .

Says he will call my boss & that I will lose my job over this.
I tell him to stop calling me and he says he will call me all the time....
Then hangs up so I call him back several times and he gets mad at me & he hangs up on me.
He told me I was harassing him.... LOL
Tells me he is some famous actor in India.
I just laughed & told him he was being reported. That i have the vm he left and all the info.
Will be reporting to the Atty Gen office & whoever else.

Scarey thing is that he knew what bank I was with - so now I have to close out my acct to be on the safe side.

This person(s) has to be stopped.

I recieved a call from a similar number 661-213-9459 stating that i had an internet loan that had not been paid. They threatened to arrest me at my home or job and that I would be appearing in court. The law office they claimed to be was John Washington and Associates out of California. There is no such office in California. It was in Texas and all numbers have been disconnected. I was advised by an attorney to contact the attorney generals office in Illinois to file an offical complaint, the Better business bureau, and to freeze my credit report, contact social security because they have my ss# and all my personal information.
Completely a scam report immediately if you recieve one of these calls

I got a call from a Jacob Brown on April 14, 2011 at my place of business.  He said I had an unpaid payday loan and he would not tell me the name of the payday loan company, instead he said this attorney office handled 300 payday loan companies.  He used profanity when I tried to get information about this loan.  I do not have any outstanding payday loans due.  He also demanded to speak to my supervisor.  They also call me at home.  I did however got a number from a guy name David Stone (661-270-6715) but when I called that number, he was gone for the day.  I couldn't quite understand the person that answered the phone and when I ask several times for the name of the company he hung up and I called back until I got the name of John Washington and Associates, an attorney's office they said, and they still hung up on me.
They also had my SSN, so I am guessing somehow they got it through an online application.  This is pure harrassment and is illegal.

Call your states attorney generals office, i just recieved one myself.

I have received numerous phone calls from people by the name of Mike Watson and Shane Blake claiming to be with the JWC lawfirm.  I googled the number and found out that they are not for real.  They called back again today and when I asked them to provide me copies of my loan papers he said you mean you don't have copies and I told him that I did not know what he was talking about.  He started speaking in some foreign language and when I asked him what he said he said I called you a - --------bi***.  I told him that I was going to report him to the police department and he hung up on me.  Both people are not from here and are really really hard to understand.  I told them that I wanted to speak to someone that could speak english and that really made them mad.

The same Indian National is calling from 661-270-6412 as "Sam Daniels" and 818-538-9561 as "Leo Ambrose". They are a scam - you don't owe them anything. If you call and ask for the person with the alias they hang up if you can even get through. There is a law firm in Dallas with a similar name to John Washington and Assoc. and they are not a debt collections firm. Do not answer these calls. They are looking to get financial information from you to con you. Have the numbers blocked and call the FTC if it becomes overbearing.

These people are scammers i have investigated every single number from these people that they have called on. Threating to arrest me for 3 months now.Bothering me at work and on my home phone. I have filed with the FTC i have called the FBI. I have emailed on 19 action news. We all know these are scammers they are foreigners and they call from unpublished unlisted and cell phone numbers. They dont id there company name other then attorney soo and so. When you ask them for validation of debt they hang up on you.When you say come arrest me already they hang up on you. When you give them a verbal cease and desist they keep calling. They call from all sorts of odd numbers. I have already called the real quick pay and the real sonic cash and they both confirmed that it is not them cus i dont have anything through them. If your sick and tired of this as i am then i urge you to make a report with the FTC at 877 382 4357 and also go to IC3.gov and make a report with them as well report all the numbers they have called you from to 19 action news investigators. I have every single message from these people saved on my voice mail.

This jerk called my work yesterday 4/11/11 and left a message, Then called my cellphone and will not answer. I've already went to the authorities but the scammers gets by with anything if I and anyone else did this scamming we will be under the jail. no questions asked

Got the same phone call and immediatley googled the phone numbers 661-270-6412, 209-208-3213 which are located in the palmdale, lone hills etc....scary thing is that they had my last digits of my SS and bday,.....has that happen to anyone else??? I contacted the CA attorney general and my local police department.

That is exactly where they got my information then. Because I got one for Christmas. And the calls Started in January and keep continuing. Well I have changed my cell phone number and will not deal with anymore of these loan companies online. Because I know who takes out my account and who put what in there.  Sad and they wonder why Americans look down on them.

I was until I changed my cell phone number calls between 1 and 3 am in the mornings, too. Imagine getting a call like that , first thing I thought was that something was wrong with some of my family. I work for the local Sheriffs department as a detention officer. And I just received a call from them on the work phone, and told them to stop calling my job and they told me they will call whenever they want, not a smart move when all calls are recorded in the facility. I even gave him the Sheriffs fax number. and told him that I am not sending him any money through western union or usps.

my daughter received a call like this and really pissed me off i would very much love to get in the ring with these idiots and show them a thing or two about messing with the wrong people, there should be a way to contact them and show up to the so called law office!!!!! just like all the others i will continue to harass them to see how they like it............... get a life or go back to where u came from AIR HEADS.

wow the name I got was mike smith now when I think about it mike smith sounds like and american name and this a***ole sound like and eastern accent maybe india..I went to the police department and field a report I receive a call everyday.

These a-holes were calling me 15-16 times a day, at home, at work...and I never had a "pay" loan.  (I filled out the form online for one, but when I read the "terms and conditions", I decided not to do it.)

Anyway, 5 days ago, I finally had it.  I googled the phone number & found this site.  I read a post from someone called "Everyone Read This", and decided to invest 2 1/2 hours of my day off to screw with them the same way "Everyone read this" did, and guess what?  I haven't heard a peep from them since!  It actually works...try it.  (I did have to hear a lot of screaming and cussing, but nonetheless it worked!)

Go get them everyone...look up the post from "Everyone Please Read This" and it will tell you exactly how to do it and finally get some peace and quiet.  (And SCREW those terrorist b*****ds!)

Yes he did go online and apply for payday loan.  He never took the loan though.  I followed your advise and called them back told them I was the attorney of record.  Made them go on and on and then I told them I was tracing the call and had reported them to the NC atty generals office (which by the way I did) they hung up on me.  I called back six more times told them they were scam artists and blackwater had a trace on them (blackwater doesn't even exist anymore) told them If I were them I would answer the door.  They kept saying  If I would give them the phone number they could look at the file yeah like I am going to give them the phone number guess they don't have caller ID.  I was calling from the same number they called idiots.  I wonder how they confiscated a CA landlline...

ask your son if he has gone online to apply for a loan. Someone i know did that and that is when the calls started. Sorry and good luck.
