Call is acctually from Microsoft's billing department for partners. I had ordered software direct from them and the tax rate was incorrect on the website. they were contacting me to let me know the different amount.

I got a call from 661 310-2242 and tried to call it back. I got a recorded message in Spainish. I hope that it is not Microsoft. It doesn't look good.

Microsoft billing/finance dept. If you've ordered stuff from Microsoft directly, such as subscriptions to MSDN and whatnot, and they need to verify payment, they'll call you with this number.

This is a department of Lufthansa's Miles and More (US office) that handles award booking reservation changes. When you book ahead of time, airlines may cancel flight(s), change schedule, connections, etc - so you end up with some stupid itinerary. This department (Ania is very nice)will try to accomodate your original schedule and rebook you for free (otherwise it is $60) if award travel seats are still available from airlines for your original travel dates. They will find a way to help you one way or another.

Repeated calls, less than one minute. Only the phone number appeared, but I suspect it is a collections agency hired by a well known long distance service company that provides no service, and ignores requests to cancel long distance service, as I am ignoring their requests for payment
