True, they are calling for collection of student loans. However Just me works for them.. since many state prohibit wage garnishment and when they do have it, its cant be more then 10%. Also only the federal governement has the ability to garnish wages from your bank for back taxes. Trust me I have spoken to several lawyers.

By the way, since it is collection on a federal loan, you should call them back right away because once the account goes into collection with them they pretty much immediately initiate wage and bank garnishments.  However, they are very nice (unlike some collection agencies) and do help you set up a reasonable payment plan to avoid wage and bank garnishments.  And no, I am not a collector rallying for the collection agency.  I defaulted on my student loan and know who they are from experience.

It is a collection company calling to collect an unpaid Sallie Mae student loan.

Someone left a Post-It note on my apt door with this number written on it and a message to call Coreeta. I live in a building that cannot be accessed by people without keys to the front door. The person who left the note must live in the building, or they followed someone who does, in. I live in Brooklyn, by the way and this is a CA number. I am beyond pissed off and would like to know who on earth this person is. When I called the number the voicemail said that I had reached Coreeta Tomlin and to please leave my social security number and my telephone number so she could contact me. Uh, I dont think so. What upsets me, is that some poor elderly person might receive a note like this, call back and leave their ss#!

My parents each recieved a phone call of someone phishing for information about me from this number?

I got a call from this number at work, and when I said I wasn't available they gave me this call back number, and they the girl said "I can't get personal calls at work, so please make sure she calls me back on this number"  It sounded like she was my friend, but of course she thought I wasn't myself....

This number also called me and how they got my number is beyond me. They said that it was very important and that i should call them. Then I looked up the number and shows it's not even a business.

Called for my neice and just said have her call me.
