I have been getting 20 calls per day for the last week and the caller ID reads "Dialer" and Palmdale. Yes, there is a chance that the TRUE caller is calling from anywhere in the world since direct dial (1+) phone number area codes NOW stretch from the shores of South America to mainland China. The other strange technique is that phone banks in India get their calls routed through legitimate phone numbers a million at a time and the machine that dials the number in India is directly connected to a machine in New York City that redials the number to defeat the "No Call List" of the FCC.

Received a call from male inquiring about my daughter and her phone number, I did not give out any information and hung up, well today caller ID also indicated it was same numner, identenfied only as Dialer,661-4560538. I am on the Do Not Call List!

I have been getting called by this number as well. They asked a strange question that only a few people know about. Big brother is watching people, stay alert and turn to Jesus before it is too late

I got a call from this number and I tried calling back but it was the sound of fax transmittal. Then I waited till like 5 am and it stated it was from United Recovery systems. My bankruptcy lawyer is investigating since the calls are also from 7 am to 10 pm.

got a call from this number asking about someone in my family who don't exist....I just find it odd cuz 661 area code is a bakersfield-delano ca number and I ask who are you and what is your company call and she said that she is calling from Texas....very weird....someone needs to do something about this...

It's United Debt Collectors in Houston, TX for credit card debt. Collection agencies are getting smarter; they don't use 800 numbers anymore.  They call from local area-code exchanges to resemble callers in your city; 661, 310, 424, etc. AT & T and other phone companies set this up for them to fool you into picking up the phone.  Don't.  Let?s all file bankruptcy and demand a citizens TARP bailout then deny the 2Big2Fail fats cats their multi-million dollar bonuses and private jets. We pay for their lifestyle as AmEx CEO Ken Chenault?s collects a $50.2 million dollar salary. Who's with me?

Just got a call from this number.  We don't owe any money. Did a bing search and it shows a landline in Palmdale. There was a man in Plamdale recently arrested for stealing mail, identities, UPS, FedEx packages etc.  He had a master mail box key for condo / apt and had many credit cards / bank accounts opened in other people names. Crooks have time on their hands to devise new ways to rip people off.  Beware.

My mother in law and my mother in laws aunt received a phone call from this number 661-456-0538 asking personal questions about me.  Very odd ezpecially since I am technically divorced and one person lives in Lancaster, Ca. and the other in Puerto Rico...after reading these comments I am definately making a polic report!!!

Got a phone call from this number asking about people that we have not associated with in several years, they were saying that we were put down as a reference but that was not the type of relationship that was carried with the individual.  They would not say who they were or what they wanted other than asking for a phone number for the person they were looking to get a reference for. Very strange to say the least.

Linda from this phone number, asked if Linda S was available.  When I asked where she was calling from as this was the second call in 5 hrs from the same number, she wouldn't say other than she was in Houston.  (Major red flag, since caller ID indicated a California #.  Then she asked if I knew a Linda S and how they could reach them?  I told her yes I know Linda, but this was not the phone number to reach her.  They were also told to remove my number from the file.  I doubt this will happen.  Someone needs to put a stop to them.

Claimed to be from Bank of America wanting me to pay off credit card debt that I do not have. Was very rude.

Some girl called looking for my son saying she had time sensitive information and wanted to know if I had a power of attorney for him. Very suspicious and stupid. Just so you all know, even if your kid is in the military and stationed overseas you DO NOT have a general power of attorney for them unless you have their kids or are doing something special for them. If you are say, selling their car for them, you would have a special power of attorney for that specific thing.

Someone called me from this number said her name was Alex calling from Wells Fargo Bank. She told me to get out my checkbook and read her my routing number and account number so I can make a payment over the phone or else.............

Bill collector consistently calls on my cell and my work phone, they have been told numerous times to not call me at work, yet they still persist.  What does DO NOT CALL ME AT WORK I CANNOT GET PERSONAL CALLS mean to this people? If I lose my job you really aren't going to get your money...duh!  My bankruptcy attorney will be notified and I hope I can sue them every time they call.

I also received a call from this number, which is also my home area code. I find this very suspicious.

Caller claimed to be calling for Chase Bank, wants money to settle wifes' purported credit card debt, wants me to co-sign loan. Name given was Charlena Smith, phone number to call back to was 866-516-6961 ext 4138. I think I will consult a lawyer about this, possibly make a police report.
