i got this call on 10-16-11 transferred to me from the hr dept a work, the man accent was so thick, he threated to come to my work , and he pray for my family and work be safe, , then they called me on friday night at 800 , with the same message , that the attorney general office is looking for not call him back.  i called the number there was no answer to the number, for a few minutes , then he answeer, attorney general office??????

I got a call from this number on 10-19-11 at 10:58 a. m. and another call on 10-20-11 at 11:51 a.m.they just keep threatens me and I don't know who they are I would like it to stop. what can be done about this? I save all the messages they leave on my phone but I guess I will get my number changed and see if that will help.

You have to find them to sue them.  They are probably located in a 3rd world country that does not cooperate with US law enforcement.  You will not be able to catch them.

Contact your son's cell provider.  Ask how to block the number.  If they can't block the number you can put the number in your son's contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no rint".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

they called my son.  didnt mention what type of debt it is, but my son told him he didnt owe anything.   He called my son 13 times in one day ,and left several inapropiate messages even telling my son he wanted him to suck his c*** and he will come and f*** his mother (me) I have never in my life heard anything like that but my son kept the messages and now we are going to report them to the attorney general.   That is not right... anyone know a good lawyer???

They used to call from a 9146 number (not even a number)  i just called this nuber back and blew the airhorn into the phone.  Lol I used to answer the phone and say pizza shop what can i get you.  After a few times of that they stopped calling, but 4 months later they are back at it.  I just have fun with it.

The same person called me, said he was coming to my home or my job, I told him to come by my job, a gun shop, I had something for him.

another mideastern accented caller - he cannot even speak well enough to tell you what he wants but threatens you - at the end of the call he said all he can do wish you good luck.  I cannot imagine any collector ending the call by saying that.  This is such a scam and they continually call me about loans, etc.  they will not mail anything or give you an address - police tell me this is just a scam - atty general says it will eventually stop but it has been going on for a year now.  does anyone have a clue as to how to get rid of these people?  you block their number and they just call from a different number - i have thought about buying a whistle and as soon as I see their call coming in, pick up receiver and blow that whistle like crazy.  also, i have thought of just talking nonstop gibberish as soon as i pick up the receiver.  any suggestions?
