I want to be taken off this list.  Want nothing from them; do not buy ANYTHING over the phone.  They need to stop calling MY PHONE, not theirs, MINE.  I pay for it.  I want to turn them in for harassment; they keep calling!  STOP!

Scam call from Senior Alert Care Company.  They offered "$3000 in grocery coupons, and a Life Alert System".  While talking to the representative on the line, I did an online search for "Senior Alert Care Company", and found many hits identifying them as a scam.  I told the representative of this, and the phone call was quickly over.

Answering and pressing button just lets them know that you number is a live one which they will sell to other scammers.  Never answer and press numbers.

Just got same call, pressed 1 no answer........finally they hang up. I love to let these idiots go through a long speech and then I tell them to just send me the FREE BRACELET...they go into another speech about how it isn't free and I just keep reminding them thats what they say, oh, and that I'm recording them.......they hang up! Also love the ones that want to talk to the person that handles the electric bill........I tell them we don't pay our electric bill and ask if they are calling with a shut off date....they hang up. I usually don't answer these calls, but  sometimes I want to harass them and waste their time!

They have called at least 20 times and there is no way to tell them to quit:  it is a recording.   They are trying to get you to sign   up with them for a supposedly  " $1000  free stuff."            SCAM ALERT!
Someone who actually tried to do this was inundated with calls,  mailers and salesmen targeting Senior citizens.
They ask for loads of personal information and no telling who they sell it to.    Just Don't.

I receive a message that promises free stuff if I return the call.   I returned the call and asked not be called again.  The woman on the other ended insisted that she would offer me legitimate services that would save me money.  I am on the do not call list but apparently this makes no difference to these people.

The $3000 grocery scam preying on seniors has been showing up via multiple numbers lately.  The do not call list is a joke and FCC enforcement of it is zero, if they want to cut back they federal govt. that department should be the first to go.

Good advice! And for those interested in learning more about the medic alert for seniors scam there is an article in the July-August issue of the AARP Bulletin that warns of, and explains it.

It's a scam.

There is no company, there are no services, there is no groceries or free give away or any assistance. It is all a scam to steal identities and mostly credit cards. That's it, just theft.

Scammers are criminals and criminals do not care about the do not call list. You will receive many, many, MANY, more calls. All from out of area calls or unknown callers, everyone of the calls will be automated which is completely illegal. You will receive many many more calls from different numbers almost daily.

Don't bother blocking, don't bother answering and don't bother asking to be taking off the list. They are criminals, they don't care. Their only mission is to doop the unsuspecting and gullible out of their hard earned money.

Warn others, this scam persist because it is effective. Telemarketing scams are on the rise, they are the new email spam. Let others know that if it is automated or suspicious ignore and report.

Pleas report.

Annoying call that says it is a senior alert. Probably selling insurance. I picked up and told them not to call me any more. I am on the do not call list. This is harassment by telephone.

Medial Alert & free stuff scam.

I've given up answering the phone unless I recognize the caller id.  I'm almost convinced the robo-fraudsters are getting the phone numbers from the National do-not-call-list. Calls have dropped off a little since I adopted the no-answer policy.

My answering machine did capture the following:
?For those sixty years old or older. You now qualify under the new National Senior Assistance Program to receive three thousand dollars in free groceries savings certificates. They can be used at over a hundred major grocery chains across the US. In addition to your three thousand dollars in savings certificate you'll receive a free emergency medical alert bracelet or necklace. This medical alert device is designed to save your life if you ever experience a fall or any other emergencies.?

....and, as a bonus, you'll almost certainly have your credit card info stolen

If you'd like to read about this scam:
http://roanoke.bbb.org/article/bbb-alert-poss ... lert-scam-43458
and lots of other sources you can google:  "medical alert scam".

It's a pity I don't have a phone I can answer anymore; I did once like to talk to people.
