Got a call from a 3858 3858 (thats how it appeared on caller ID - some Indian sounding person talking about "my" microsoft computer! .... at 11:15 p.m.!!!!

Got a call last night. I did not recognize the number so did not pick it up. Another useless bottom feeder.

These scam artists called my mother on 05/08/13 in the morning from 703-6668-523, telling her someone had prepaid for a medic alert system for her. Thinking it was an honest mistake, she pressed one and ended up speaking with someone with a very thick accent. At that point, she figured out it was a bogus/scam call and hung up.  Later that same day, I got a call from 662-304-3858 with the same rambling message sounding like some guy is just telling you off the cuff that someone prepaid a medical alerting system, yadda, yadda, yadda.  I didn't bother pressing any buttons.  I'm sure they'll call back again and again.  This is just another scam aimed at the elderly.  I will, however, alert our local senior center so they can alert their patrons.

Got a call saying they were going to ship me my "free" medical alert device.  When I said I did not need this device (essentially a "fallen and can't get up" unit) and asked if the cost of it was included in a monthly fee, the caller (who did not seem to be a robocaller) simply hung up.

This is a rip off sales call.  If you answer the guy says "My name is John, and I'm calling to schedule your medical alert system shipment!"  My response was, "no one from this number" orderded this and he tried to back track but I hung up. As far as I am concerned, a scam, plain and simple!!!!! Caller ID only showed wireless caller.  I'm identifying the type of call as unknown below, but it is a SCAM sales call!!!!  Never, ever answer this number.  AND,  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!

they seem to call this number about every couple weeks. don't they understand we're onto them, so go find something else to do. maybe something constructive?  thanks for that list of numbers - it's posted by my phone.

numbers associated with them on above list, also...non-stop...Registered
with Do No Call list, but am not within 30 days of registration...

This is a good list - all numbers that have been showing up on my caller ID for same scammer.

Nice idea. I wonder if the telemarketers have software that keeps their outgoing calls from going "live" if the line isn't picked up by a person though.

Got their call three days ago . . . probably the fourth one in a month.   Heard the guy's initial message regarding the material they would ship free and managed to tell him to remove my number.   Just got a new call from them.   No message left.   Calling them gets you to a sometimes operational answering machine.   I guess I will let the answering machine take all calls from unknown numbers.

This trash calls me everyday and lets it ring at least 30 times, there must be someone that will do something about these jerks.

Just received a call from these scammers. Claiming my security alert system was on order, paid for and they were confirming delivery. The guy on the phone refused to stop talking and wanted me to confirm the cc used for this fake order. he finally hung up when I started screaming no on the phone. Complete scammers!

Call from 662-304-3858 on 4/27/13 at 2:39 p.m. No I.D on caller I.D. other than phone number. Did not recognize number so did not pick up.No message left. Other comments very scary about credit card threats.

Abusive social engineers who tell you they have all your credit card numbers and threaten to charge thousands of dollars to your cards.  I called the Tupelo, Mississippi police department but they told me I had to initiate a complaint from my home jurisdiction.

It's a wireless number from a Mississippi based telemarketer. (1-662-304-3858)

There must be a way to stop these calls!!!!! Ilove the selective call fowarding idea ( see above comments)..  haven't answered any calls, just keep hitting "ignore" but i am now going to forward them right after I answer one & tell them what I think of them first!

I get calls from this number everyday and they never leave a message but when you dial the number its either busy or makes a weird noise then disconnects.  How do I get these people to quit calling!!!!  They start early in the morning.

got a call from this number, here's what I have started doing with all these scam calls...I urge people to consider doing this if you can. First understand that the dnc does not work, I did in 2010 provide testimony for FTC on  bogus car warranty but all they did was fine them and they just changed their name so the FTC is impotent in these matters likely because of the volume of complaints and how hard it is to track them down with this two party center system they use that also uses spoofed numbers.

I have comcast for my phone and can block numbers, blocking numbers though is not enough and I can block 12 numbers. I also have both normal call forwarding and selective call forwarding, the latter being the key to this. I took one scammer number that is spoofed (if you call it back you get the "it's out of service" recording) and blocked it. (I chose the one that called the most) Then I took that number and made it the source for my selective call forwarding and I add all the scam numbers to the list of numbers to be forwarded (that is the selective part of selective call forwarding). I can still use my regular call forwarding to forward calls to my cell as selective call forwarding is separate from call forwarding.

Now imagine if many people did this, when the call is forwarded it has the potential to tie up the line of the target number, which is a spoofed number and a scammer. I have yet to find a limit on the amount of numbers I can add, but when I go back and check my logs I see tons of forwarded calls..if you like the idea please pass it on...let's tie up their lines and strangle them with their own lines.

Calls2-4times day..says this is John from med alert n they have a delivery for me n I pay fee for delivery...I have med alert already which is in working order.Have not ordered any new system,..when I asked name of co n what they want to send me ,he will not answer...I hang up!!
