First off, it's NOT illegal for a collector to call your workplace to talk to you, UNLESS you state personally to them that you want them to stop calling you there.  Then they are allowed to contact you ONCE MORE, just to inform you of whatever action they are going to take.  After that, it IS illegal, and harassment.  It is also legal for them to call family and friends to try and obtain information about you.  Sad, but true.  I know this because I used to work for a credit bureau. This number calls my cell phone too, various days and hours.  It's a collection agency, but I never answer.  I don't have anything to say to them.

I think it is illegal for a debt collector to call your workplace.  You might want to check into it.

This number calls at least 3 times a day. Usually after 2pm. I looked it up and it said ACSI telecommunications out of Tupelo, Mississippi. I haven't answered and they don't leave a message.

This number calls my wife everyday at about lunch time CST on her cell phone which is a pre-paid cellphone and it costs her minutes for a recording asking for someone with the last name "Brown".

They call us constantly.  We don't answer because we don't know who it is and by not answering it is not costing us any minutes.  I wish we had the ability to block callers like you can on landlines.

This too is a number askin for a woman named "Brown". It seems to be a collections company. These SOB's are starting to ask for a police complaint. My Caller ID lists them in Amory, MS.
