call no message, just hangs up, i did a survey for Walmart thinking it was a reputable company, but that is the only one i gave the my number, now my phone is ringing all the time, Walmart needs to fix this problem

They have called twice this afternoon, but left no message. I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, and the caller ID on this one says it's a cell phone in Mississippi. I don't know anyone in Mississippi, so I didn't answer. Obviously the call is not very important, since they didn't need to leave a message.

So I saw your post and looked through my caller I.D. and sure enough I had 3 of those #'s on my caller I.D.! I called them back, got the verizon recording on one, an education place that asked for someone I had never heard of on another and a busy signal for 30 minute on the other. I want these calls to stop. I am so tired of this. I think they are associated with e-mails too.

I have just recieved 2 calls from this number. However, in the last 2 days we had recieved about 4 calls which we deleted after finding out that they were probably either telemarketers or bogus calls.

Then wed were repeatedly called to the point of being harrassed - they use several fake company names. and on one i overheard some young man in the bakeground say "I really got thaty dude good" in the background. tyhe other numers they have been using:

As well as 3 "New Call" with no name or number showing up on caller ID.  The 3rd one I aanswered and sure enough it was them.

they seem to have stemmed from a friend of our daughters whom they named, signing up with some website to study for her GED online.

They were told that person does not live here and had apparently used our number because she has no phone of her own. We asked to be bemoved from there call list on several of these calls which seems to have escalated the problem.

i looked it up and it said its a land line which scared me,he asked for me and i was like who is this? i was unclear of what he said really.he was indian i believe and kept asking for me by name and everything.i call back and it says its verizon wireless and diccounected i also found its from missippii

A "lady" called my husband twice today .  He passed the phone to me, after telling her he could not understand her - when I asked who was calling she hestiated and then told me she was with Education Bridge and my husband had signed up on-line for some of their classes - I told her no this had not happened and then I hung up the phone - my husband is 79 yrs. old and has a mental problem, can not use a computer - I worry that someone like this could get some personal info from him - we are on the no-call list - where are they getting our numbers???? If the government wants to help all of us so much why don't they put this kind of company out of business? Really scary !!!!

Received a call from this number.  I Answered.  He asked for me and I told him to put me on his do not call list and he said 'shut up.'  Nice.

TC from this number yesterday morning at my home! Nobody has this number.  They asked for my by name and when told I was not there, just hung up.

Wow! they even called me in Hawaii STRANGE! Beware I called back and got the disconnected Verizon message...

This number called this morning and when I answered, nobody said anything.  Looked it up on here and found out that it was a spoofer.  I also tried to call it back, but only got the aforementioned "Verizon Wireless" disconnected message.  So I called it back like twenty times to be annoying.  Incidentally, each time, I got the Verizon message.

the guy keeps calling several times a day the guy asked for my husband by the short version of his name which only his close friends use.  When I told him he wouldn't be home for a couple of days the guy just hung up on me. When I tried calling back I got a verizon disconnect number.

I got a call from the same number this afternoon.  The Asian sounding guy said he was with the Auto Loan Corp.  As he started talking again, I told him I don't need a car loan and don't do these things on the phone.  Click, he was gone.  

I called the number and got a Verizon message saying the number is not in service.  I called Verizon and Spoke to Customer Service and Fraud Dept. They suspect the caller/s used technology to capture information from the real 662.854.1478 phone number (before Verizon cancelled the number) and now the bad guys make calls from their phones while masking their real info and displaying the info to make it look like the 662-854-1478 number.

We told them we knew they were trying to steal information from us so not to call back and so far it has worked.

Man with middle eastern accent called again from this number...we wouldn't let him talk this time and hung up. We called the number back and it says welcome to verizon wireless this number has been disconnected.

Guy with a middle Eastern accent said he was calling about the auto loan I applied for. I said no I haven't & asked politely that they remove my number from the calling list immediately. He said thank you & hung up. Sick of these types of callers. How do these people obtain private numbers like this?

received several calls from this number. I was not feeling well so ignored them. Did not look familiar  so I googled (cell phone 1-662-854-1478 MS) and found all of these complaints. Decided to answer  the next call with a "Barrington Police Dept. How may I help you"  I heard  a click and  have not received any more calls.

I started getting calls from this number yesterday.  The first call seemed to be a lady and the last one was a guy.  He mentioned that I am approved for a loan, etc..  I told him I didn't have time to talk.  Hung up and tried calling the number back but it didn't go through.  How did he get my number?

This number keeps calling my cell phone.  I am with AT&T.  I never answer and he doesn't leave a voice message.  The caller is a w**ker.

Has called several times a day for the past week. When I do answer I either get back ground noise that sounds like several people talking in a group. When I did have a person on the other end they could hardly speak English. The best I could understand, they said they were some type of loan company. Asked them not to call my number again , they hung up. Called the number right back and got the Verizon message " that this number was not in service. "

Caller calls my landline daily. I asked what the call was in reference to and he hung up. When I call back, I get the Verizon message. I sent a text from my cell number and told him to take me off of the call list. He still called the landline later.

I am on MST Zone... This number keeps callin!!?? Called 4 times today. I answer they hang up. I checked a website.. theultimates.com.  Awesome website you can do every lind of reverse search by phone, addres etc. This number comes up as cellular number according to them. DO NOT TRUST!!

I have been receiving and ignoring most of these calls but out of curiosity answered a call from this number and got an Indian guy from what sounded like a call center asking for my husband. I said he was not home and what was it regarding. He said he wanted my husband again and I asked him what it was about and we went back and forth for a bit until he said you live in blah blah blah right? I said yes. At blah blah blah Avenue right? Do you know who you are talking to? I said no. He said I work at the blah blah Correctional Facility and I am coming over in 20 mins, you wait. I of course called my husband right away and he rushed home. Can someone do something about this person/people. Until I just googled and found all of you I was nervous and felt that my family was being threatened!! NOT GOOD!!

Something needs to be done about this caller.  I don't believe 662-854-1478 is their true phone number.  I think they are using a system to make their number appear different.  I have called the number back on my cell while they were calling my land line and received a msg the number is disconnected.  The best thing to do for anyone that is getting calls from this number is to call your phone company and get call tracing.  This person appears to be unstable and has way to much time on their hands.  I was out of town for the weekend and received a total of 28 calls from them.  Once I get 3 traces I will press charges and post who this person is.

We have been getting these calls ever since I ordered books from chegg and am very concerned they sold my info :(  the calls and text messages are ridiculous!
