no answer

ja,ja, Tiger, it happens to me many times, a woman calls and leaves a long message to a friend or family member, a long conversation, so you call back to let them know they left the message (important) in the wrong house, but I realized they do it  on purpose. I once answered, (the called originated from a hospital and I thought it could be a family member) but I told her a lot of expletives, and ever since I don't answer, just ignore it...but read my advise on the prior coment posted.

I receive calls from that number often, but mine comes from MI I think (616) 980-2022. I just ignore it, but what you can do is pick-up the  phone and hang-up right away, so if it is a machine or software doing the call, it will register as answsered and stp bothering for a while. I've done that...of course, they do it again later on..but we have to live with that, so I pay them back with that.

I also received a call from the number above (616) 980-2022 and they did not speak. I think this is just a way to find out if you really have a phone that answers when you receive a lot of collection calls and don't answer. I have received calls from people who live long messages tgalking to a third person, so you return the call to let hem know that they called the wrong number and ,zaz! they know you're there, then the 800 services calls starts again.

This so called company "TELE EUROPE 2" have been calling me for the past two days, 5 times a day. Usually I never pick-up calls that I dont recognize the name and/or number. They don't bother to leave a message either.

I agree with "Aggravated" except that we receive calls on Sunday!!  I don't know what makes people think they are going to get you to buy or donate or whatever it is they are trying to get you to do, by calling constantly.  They leave no message and if by chance I decide, after receiving 5 calls in one day from the same number, to pick up, no one is there.  Our policy is not to answer these calls when they come up on caller ID. You would think that these companies, or charities or whatever they are would finally get the hint that people have no trust in them and harrassment is NOT going to get them anywhere.  This is an invasion of our civil rights.

Here's the deal.  These telemarketing companies use equipment called Predictive Dialers.  Picture a few dozen callers in a boiler room.  Their software has figured out how long the average call is and use the data to drive their equipment and pack more calls into each work hour.  Here's your Kip Tip of the day.  Whenever you pick up the phone and hear a time delay before someone speaks or an automated message starts, they are using predictive dialers.  The way to beat the system (for some types of equipment) is this:  whenever you hear that delay, hang up immediately and it tells their software that your number is not in service and sometimes the calls stop.  Give it a whirl!

Apparently another of the thousands of hang-up telemarketers "out there" who call random numbers and listen a little bit and hang up and get credit (and eventually paid) for having made an "attempt" at reaching a would-be customer for the company who hired them to do telemarketing.

Any company who hires these hang-up telemarketers, thinking that they are going to increase sales or customers by even one-----when all they do is call and hang up, over and over and over, are ignorant of what their telemarketer salespersons are really doing.  The companies who hire them are being taken for whatever money they pay these hang-up telemarketers.  These companies are hurting their own reputation and turning OFF potential customers by having hang-up telemarketers bug the heck out of folks by calling & hanging up.  Over and over and over.  

They are disturbing the peace of our home. They are a public nuisance.  It is a shame they are nearly impossible to track---when you try to call them back, most of the time the number is not a working number.  When you DO get a person & ask them to remove you from their call list, they either ignore the request or maybe our phone numbers are on hundreds of sold phone number lists.  

There seems no end to it. We got on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY list and that is when the hang-up telemarketing calls began.  I now have a blacklist blocker software on a dedicated laptop just to filter out and disconnect all phone numbers of hang-up telemarketers who call our home land-line phone.  In about two and a half months, I've gathered just over a hundred such hang-up telemarketer phone numbers.  Those on the blacklist get disconnected after one ring, which is lovely.  The only problem is, there seems to be no end to it----we get anywhere from 2-to-5 NEW hang-up telemarketers calling our phone number every day (except, so far, they don't seem to call on Sundays).  

It's like living on an island with deer flies and no bug repellent.  Maddening.  If some legislator passes a law to give an automatic prison sentence, even 10 years, to these hang-up telemarketer jerks, I would be for such a law.  Hang-up telemarketers are lower than c**k roaches.

call 8:00 at nite 3 times so far..no one there when i answered...bound to be some reply that will get their attention????

You could try answering by saying...."me no speak englich..Go way!"
or if you have caller ID do what I do ...one thumb on the pick up call button and the other on the hang up button and then press them in rapid succession.  It's amazing how many of these calls have stopped coming

Call from Tele Europe 2.  Number on caller ID: 231-732-2611.  Several calls over a few weeks, but I have not picked up the phone.

Message machine picked up call-Female voice reguested spouse by name then call was ended.

Important message from your health care provided.   Evidently not since my health care provider communicates through email or snail mail.

I saved it on my cell phone as SPAM.  That way, next time they ring, I will reject instantly.

I listened then hung up next time will not respond added to my list of do not respond.

This is the 2nd call that I have gotten today.  IT comes up Tele-Europe and then the number 2-678-253-6210.  I don't answer it but they keep calling back.

Caller left no message

THIS CALL WAS ADDRESSED AS IF YOU ARE AN AMERICAN AN NEED HEALTH INSURANCE THEY COULD GET INSURANCE FOR 3 DOLLARS AND I DON'T REMEMBER THE CENTS. I WAS  SO IRRITATED I DIDN'T HEAR THE CENT. PELOSI GET OFF MY PHONE. MY FAMILY HAS INSURANCE. MY HUSBAND REFUSED INSURANCE BECAUSE MINE IS BETTER.

I have to answer calls no matter what. When I answer this one I answer it the way I would if it had a customer's name on the caller id. No answer to my hello. No click no nothing. So I give them about 30 seconds, tell them thank you for calling and hang up.

Same as others. Received call at 3:49 and 8:10 from  673-253-6210 Conyers, Ga. Was suspicious because I used to live in Conyers and the area code is not familiar. No message left either time.
