I got this call today from an Indian man who asked me to send my resume to him so he could further discuss my qualifications and the job. The job was for the State of Georgia for a 2yr contract. I sent my resume and not even a minute later he called back. I asked him what part of the State of Georgia the job was in and he stumbled over the answer like he had to make something up. I asked him where his office was and he said in Greater Atlanta.  I asked him what city and again he stumbled and then finally answered in India after repeating Greater Atlanta several times. I asked him where in Atlanta the office was located and he couldnt tell me. He sounded as if he was making the story up as he went along. I told him I wasnt interested and then hung up. His name was Sam Reedy. Here is the email from him.

I just had 4 calls in a row from this number. I finally answered and told her to take me off whatever list I am on. She claims she has never called me! I told her again that in the last 10 minutes I had 4 calls. She said, "ok, fine. Goodbye."

Sure.... You should just give your personal information to people that you've never met or even spoken too before. This way, they can steal your identity and your money... Or at least what's left of your money after being out of work long enough to be desperate enough to fall for these a-hole's scams. Anyone who is here trying to convince you that this is legitimate is in on the scam and downright morons.

I received a call from a Simon Munipali who introduced himself as a recruiter for AskStaffing for a project manager for ATT near my place of residence.  He originally asked for an Emily, but when I said he has the wrong number, he asked if I was looking for a job.  I said yes.  He immediately emailed me information about the job.  After several correspondence via email and phone, he finally got down to the nitty gritty asked for my bday and then asked for the last 4 digits of my social (OVER THE PHONE) i responded (HELL NO!)  I am not comfortable providing sensitive information such as my social over the phone.  HE said oh you don't have to but ATT won't proceed unless this information was provided.  I said then that's too bad then.  I only provide sensitive information over a secured website with reputable company.  He said he will be sending me a secured email asking for this information.  I said, please stop calling me and waisting my time.

Some Indian woman named Nancy called saying she had an opportunity with AT&T. Could barely understand her.... Not very good English. She kept telling me to go to my email and look at the job description... WEIRD!! I told her i would have to decline and after reading all this.. I'm glad I did!

Just received TWO calls - the first one was a female Indian woman from "ASK Staffing" ( +678-317-2819)her accent was very strong offering me a job with AT&T in Fort Lauderdale.  When I asked her if there was a number I could call her back on she said she would send me an email.  Within seconds I received the email with her information and the job description.  I looked up the ASK Staffing online and the numbers are TOTALLY DIFFERENT than what is on her email.  A few minutes later I received a second phone call, this time from New Jersey 1-908-279-8899 this time a man stating he was calling from "Radiant" something - he was speaking very low and with an Indian accent - also offering me an Administrative position with AT&T in "Lauderdale" - I had to ask him several times to speak up because he was speaking in such a low tone as if he was trying to hide the call.  BEWARE OF THESE SCAMS

I think its a scam too. The guy asked for my full name, date of birth and my social.
No recruiter has ever asked me for that.
When I said I couldn't give it to him over the phone he send me like 5 emails asking for it. When I didn't respond to the email he literally called me like 9 times trying to get that info.
Worse, he calls from a fake Atlanta number ...
Do yourself and your identity a favor and stay clear from these scammers.

Side note - I got a call a few weeks ago from  AT&T claiming they were doing a survey and needed to verify last digits of the social etc, fortunately thephone is in my sis in laws name so I gave them the wrong info. Weird how they called from an AT&T number which I couldn't call back, with the same Indian accent

It's not a scam, it's a recruiting firm; voicemail was left and a letter sent to my email (they pulled my name from a job board or someone's database).  The position was in my field.

However, like many recruiting firms these days they are staffed by people who do not speak intelligible English.  And as others have mentioned, the message left was broken and scratchy.  They might be using off-shore staff routed through a local number (call was from 678, my area) or a very poor VOIP provider.
NOTE TO RECRUITING FIRMS:  If I cannot understand your staff, I will not do business with you.

I have just recently been called and received emails regarding work. How can we stop this? I've been called on too many times and we need to stop.

I got a call from this number and the woman sounded very unprofessional.  She was giggling and asked to speak  to my niece who is currently looking for a job.  I was suspicious because of her unprofessionalism and I questioned her extensively

Received phone call from this number from a woman saying she was from a staffing agency. The woman's voice was extremely hard to understand as English was not her primary language. She spoke politely, but I told her I could not understand her so I hung up. As area code 678 is not local  to the state of Illinois, I'm suspicious. Could be a scam.

I got phone and e-mail bombed from a bunch of Indian natives stating that they got my resume from Monster.com for an HR position.  They stated that they needed the last 5 of my social security number to submit my information to employers.  I informed them that being an HR person, that I could not provide them my personal information over the phone and they got testy with me.  I also responded to the others that they should know that no HR person or anyone who recruits for any position should only provide this information on a government document such as an I9 form.  When the call ended, I was contacted by a white gentleman who I guess felt that being American, they could extract that information.  Below are the individuals and contact information of those pulling some sort of scam.

I just got a call from this number, and actually answered it. They hung up, so I googled the number and ended up here. I too received a email from Ask Staffing.

There was a + sign in front of the 10 digit number.  Found this on Yahoo:

Exit Code,it is used by telephone company to identify that the number is outside the country then the calls are routed EXIT out this country to the country specified with the country code.

Guess that's why she sounds Indian - she's calling from India!!!

It is a scam. They copy  and paste job listings from other souces.  The number is from Vanuatu and they rip you off when you call.   ASK is not a real organization.

This Indian ASK Staffing, Inc. is trying to attack Chicago now. Just be careful and never give out your SSN online or by phone. If they require these information, make sure that you are giving these information only during the time when you are face to face interviewing with the manager of the hiring company!

Ok I just got an email from this place but  thank you Allah for bringing me to this site because I have been continuously contacted by multiple Indians claiming that they have found my resume on job boards and that they have positions for me but not to sound racist but I have been skeptical because they have weird phone numbers and American names and they're Indian and its like come on now I have been around Indians and they have had Indian names so I'm not beat. But what is pissing me off more is the fact that I need a job and these people are wasting my time getting my hopes up and they are just trying to scam me out of my information. Its ridiculous how low down these people are.
