You people need to quit calling me with you two ring and a hang up several times per day

call your phone provider and ask how you can block these numbers.  Verizon has a "call blocking service" up to 20 #'s.  I use it all the time.  It will keep a list of the number you add and I also note the date and write "scam" next to it.  When I get another call, I delete the oldest and add the new one.  It's a pain, but it does stop the calls.  I only wish I could add more than 20 #'s.  I get these calls in cycles.  Sometimes all week long, then it stops for a while, then starts up again.  I don't answer the numbers that I don't have programmed in my phone and each of my contacts have their own ring tone.  The others, I have defaulted to no ring.  If you do answer, tell them to get a real job and that McDonalds is always hiring.

Does anyone know how to stop this call from coming through?

Card member services again. I have a brand new number 2 days old and it starts again. What a load of crap.

When they called it came up as Privacy Director, and they did not leave a message. My Phone showed the following number 678-352-8608. Another website two people showed it was an International African Scam. Do not answer or return calls, and be careful of the AFRICAN SCAMS...........

Rec'd call 10/4 5:30pm. I didn't answer; they left no message.

Call received 10/18/2007 2:59 PM--call unanswered--no message was left.  Caller ID's text was in all capital letters and without any spaces.

11/16/07 2:08 pm.  and 1 time earlier same day.  First time - answering machine picked up and left no msg.  2:08 call, I picked up and the phone disconnected.

I have received calls from this number in the past and when I pick up, the phone always disconnects.

Get calls from this number weekly.  I never answer; it never leaves a message.  I hate it; wish it would stop.  Thank goodness for Caller ID.  However, I pay extra to have an unlisted number myself so I would not get calls from unknowns.  Obviously, it doesn't work.

It's a "phising scam"..... trying to see what lines actually are answered by a human and at what times of the day/night.......data is held in data banks and then sold to companies/services (most outside of U.S.)... most of the "companies" that purchase this info have illegal scam operations in progress. I suggest you call your phone service and have this number blocked. Above all; NEVER ANSWER IT.  
  Some people get it even on their cell phones. I suggest that you lock this number into a "differant unique" ring on your cell phone so that you know not to answer it amongst your other calls.

This number keeps calling us and we don't know who it is....no answer when pick up the line.

Received call at 9:15am. No message left

Privacy Director picked up the number, but no one was there when I answered.

Privacy Director caught it.  I couldn't answer though.  The message left when asked to id themselves was along the lines a personal business matter.

I'd like to stop this service but do not know how to do it.

This has our family very upset, since it appears it's a call from BB&T...and we're playing telephone tag, since our privacy director won't allow us to call back, directly!

On April 30,2009 This made about the three call I have gotten from this number. I understand this is an International African Scam. I Didn't Talk With Them.

They always call all times a day.

These people sure are a pain in the butt.........They never leave a message just a call followed by a hang up and not a way to call them back..  Un bussiness like equals a scam

I sure wish ideots would quit calling every day,  without leaving a message and or a way for me to call them back,  they hide behind the blocked number,  it sure makes one wonder what kind of scam they run..........The general rule is never buy from someone that calls like they do.  If I want the burchase somethhing I will be the one to call......

Whoever is behind this number has been calling my home (recorded message) for over a year. Some times they say stay on the line if you are Juan Garcia (which I have done, to be connected with someone in order to put a stop to these calls, and I'm then automatically disconnected). This company, I think the name is 'enhanced recovery', calls 2 and 3 times a day !  I need to find out who they are and put a stop to this harrasement

calling in the middle of the night...Not sure how to make it stop. By the time I answer it sounds like a fax but really have no idea.

They call and do not leave a number, also number will show up on caller Id as Privacy Director(Meaning they Block there Number) but it showed up on my phone because they are calling from an International location. Like the previous person mentioned- DO NOT ANSWER OR RETURN CALLS> ANOTHER AFRICAN SCAM..........

It looks like this is a service provided by the phone co.  This is used to let us (caller id subscribers) know that an unknown number is calling.  (678)352-8608 is not actually the origination number.  Check out this link for more information.
