Received a 2 calls within an hour...didnt answer and they didn't leave a message.

Somebody just called from this same number, saying that I have two charges for check bounce on a payday loan. If u file for bankruptcy, this loan wont be forgiven. But my lawyer, said that any payday loan is discharged in bankruptcy. So, I called back and ask for some info for my lawyer.No one had a clue about why i calling, No one could find my name or who called me. Strange think was when I called back,the girl said hello and not the name  of the company. I talked to a so called supervisor and he said he couldnt locate my info in the computer.(strange). He told me to call back in 30 minutes.At 678-359-3517. If it was real, I would have received a letter in the mail saying I was going to be charged with somethin g.Debt collectors usually contact u by mail.

Collection agency passing off as a law office. Disregard, scam, bottom feeders, they can't do anything but get off on intimidation IF you fall for it. Don't answer or give any info about yourself but if you do answer, request everything in writing (proof of what they are stating) AND block from landline or cell phone right away to see if they send you anything. Nothing will ever arrive that is as serious as they stated (lies to intimidate you) because they are limited in what they can do & can't back them up. OR nothing but general info as they do not want to give out anything about themselves. Ask questions & you will see what you get. If you also check whatever number they called you from on the internet, you will find that they NEVER belong to any law firm. A reputable law firm is ALWAYS listed. What you will find are countless collection agencies with negative comments currently under investigation (or have been in the past) for illegal practices & abusing the debtors.

Report to your Atty General, Better Business Bureau & ftc.gov immediately if you fall under wrong person, wrong number, don't know the person, bothering you at work or home, threats, passing off as law firms, garnishment of wages etc & you have informed them of that but they continue to call, report it as harassment & abuse. Do NOT give them the time of day so that they can be rude, disrespectful etc to you. They don't care about you just whatever money they can get from you in any manner possible. Best thing you can also do is to inform yourself about your rights so that you cannot be taken advantage of by checking the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Knowledge is power & they are not expecting you to be informed. Hope this helps anyone who is being unduly tormented for whatever the reason that has put them in that position and in which they are not interested in hearing. I KNOW I was trained that way, I work there but not for long, it's not right the way it's done and I have to live with myself.
