These a***ole call my house up to 10x a week. My block list just keeps getting longer and longer. I don't get it... ALL of my phones are on the DO NOT CALL list so why am I getting so many calls ? Now I just let the phone ring and ring and ring. If I don't recognize a name or number I just don't answer it. PERIOD.

Same here.  Phone call at 8:56 AM on a Saturday  morning.  Lowlifes!

Same deal - this is the fourth call, first one from this number, though.   They rush through the announcement, so you can't understand them.  I asked him to repeat everything from the name of the company ("US Energy Services" this time around) to his name (Walter).   I asked for a phone number, website, address, etc. repeatedly, and he said they could not give it out due to security concerns (!!!).

I strung him along for about 10 minutes, playing with him like a cat plays with a mouse, trying to act the part of a confused Senior.  Then I just said, "Walter, I am a lawyer.  You are working for a bunch of crooks.  Walk out the door and quit that job - do yourself a favor!" and hung up.

If you really want to piss them off, put them on hold and say you have to get your spouse on the line.  And just leave them on hold.   Had one on for a half-hour once - it kills their call rate and they usually get fired if they don't get so many leads per day.  You are doing them a favor, really.

Then I dialed call blocking (*60) and hit #01# to block the number from calling me again.

They keep switching numbers, though.  Crafty b*****ds!

They are trying to line up appointments with energy-saving companies (insulation, windows, solar panels, etc.) and then they sell the "leads" to local salesmen.

I received a call from a person today (4:37pm) who said it wasn't a sales call ... then proceeded to tell me the IRS was offering a $3600 rebate for ... at which time I (lied) and told them I was with the IRS ... before I could say anymore, the person hung up.

Received  a call today 12:34 p.m. from some Mortgage company saying this is not a sales call,  please do not hang up.   Asking if I wanted $3, 800.  from the government to pay on my Mortgage.    I then just hung up on them.   SCAM   SCAM    SCAM.    SO TIRED OF THESE CALLS as the DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT WORK.

On June 28, 2011 someone called my home phone from (678) 367-8514 - didn't leave a message.
I called the number back which went to an automated answer of ?Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The Verizon customer you called is not available at this time, please try your call again later.?

I received a call from the ?American Energy Reduction Group? on June 16, 2011 (678) 591-1049. The lady began by saying, ?this is not a sales call? and went on to say that she works for the government and is offering free home energy audits as a public service. She asked how much my monthly bill was, but not the square footage of my home. This is when I became very suspicious. I drilled her with basic company questions that she was not able to answer. She stated that they did not need a website address and they could not be found on the internet. I informed her that all government agencies and contracted agencies would be internet searchable and part of public record. I then told her to find someone more gullible than I am and I hung up on her. I received another call from the same company on June 22, 2011 (678) 367-8514. I hung up on them. I tried calling both phone numbers back and both numbers go to an automated answer of ?Thank you for calling Verizon wireless. The Verizon customer you are calling is not available at this time.?
