These people start out with automated message, then if you press one to talk to a live person you get transferred. While doing this I asked this person who they were and the name of tis company, she stated Account services, and asked if I would be making my payment on time for six months. Then I asked her where they were located, and she terminated the call.Caller ID says Gerorgia.

This number is not only a credit card scammer, if you google it, it is listed at several websites as a "Live Talk" line for sex talking too.

These people move from state to state, and are under investigation by the government already. Some of their activities have been curtailed, but like cockroaches, they spring back to life. They claim to be able to lower your interest rate, and the "do not call registry" is a joke to them. Of course, so are ethics, integrity and the law.

These people just pick up other peoples numbers and use them on their caller id's some how. Report them!

Number showed up on CallerID but that's why we have that service so we don't answer these calls!! No message left and CallerID showed GEORGIA as someone else previously reported.

Just go a call from Georgia 678 398 4833 no message but they called twice. I think I was hit up by them about 4 or 5 mo ago. They were rude and I was stupid. Don't give any info! They can really trick you into saying things that you don't want to.

Same as others above me have reported, talking about lower credit card interest rates. I hit "1" just to talk to a rep to find out why the keep calling me, girl got snippy and hung up on me. I called back the # listed and it was a phone sex line. Guess it's too hard to try and make an honest living anymore

This same Credit Card interest rate message is also being sent from a fake local number on the caller id.
Tom Riley 2011-06-06 20:53:58 Unknown
This is a scam--they are trying to get Credit Card info--starts with recorded message--when I talked with actual person and told them I was on Natl do not call list they hung up--but got another call about 2 hours later...same thing.

Got the call. Lower Interest rates on credit cards...blah,blah. I don't even have a credit card! Just said Georgia on the I.D.. Definite scam you could hear the hesitation after the recording and someone manually disconnecting the call like they waited to hear someone press a button then finally hung up.Ridiculous. I like this site though because this is the information I wanted and the other sites wanted to charge me just to find out the address and name of the owner.

Reported to the "Do not call" registry twice. calls every 2 weeks offering good interest rates even though we dont run a balance. Likely a scam.
Unfortunately our society has enough desperate fools that fall for this line, and keep these guys in business, that they continue calling the rest of us. Looking for more suckers.

I got a call from this company on 7/5/2010. The name came up as Georgia on the caller ID. My sister has in laws from Georgia, and thought that perhaps it might be a call from one of them. I pressed what ever button it was that I was supposed to, to talk to a person. I got a man, can't tell his name as he said it so fast and went into his speil about my credit cards. I told him to tell me which card it was about. He answered that it was offered to me on any open accounts I might have. I then told him that I knew it was BS that he had any knowledge of my cards. I asked to speak to his supervisor so that I could have my number removed yet again from this companies data base. He kept trying to sell me on their lower percentage. I asked him if he couldn't understand me and he replied "If you would just listen to what I have to say" and I cut him off and said "What part of I don't want your services do you not understand. I've asked to be removed from you call list many, many times and yet you keep calling me." He then kept saying he would keep calling until we agreed to use their service. I told him to keep calling but no one would answer, and then hung up. I then thought about how poorly I handled the situation and called the number back to try to have my number removed yet again, and it was already disconnected.

Several times I've gotten a phone call with the caller ID showing as simply "Georgia". They never leave a message. I answered it once thinking it was from my brother possibly in Georgia but it was just some credit or bill scam.

Received this call today right before 1:00 PM CST. I also filed a complaint on the DNC registry page.

Georgia on CID, recorded message about lowering interest rates (last chance) pressed key to speak to associate. Associate was trying to sell "reduction in interest rate", had no clue what "Do Not Call" list was and hung up when I asked to speak with Manager and asked to be put on their DNC list.
He said the company name was Cardmember Services or Card Services
Filed complaint with FCC here https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Same thing here. Caller ID said "georgia". I didn't answer but am also on No Call list.
Gmommie 2010-07-23 17:20:29 Unknown
Like everyone else all the caller ID said was "Georgia". I do not answer any calls that I do not recognize and have been getting a 'lot' of them recently. These are a bunch of low lives preying on people who have lost their jobs - may they all burn!!!!!!! and you know where.
monte4 2010-07-22 16:32:47 Unknown
Got a call just a little while ago. I don't answer calls when I check caller ID and don't know them. Just had Georgia and the telephone number. I just love being on a No Call List, yeah right!!! Last week was getting calls from a wireless number with South Carolina area code. I finally answered late one night and was a recording for beating this heat. Give me a break!!!

I got the same caller ID as everyone else, from Marietta, GA. Left vm and all that was said was "consider this your last notice..press 9 to lower your rates" Never said notice to what...what card if it was a card in ref to...no clue...anyone find out what credit card company this is?
Drehkop 2010-07-06 22:01:54 Unknown
Got a call from them on 7/5/10, the caller id said Georgia. As stated earlier, they promised since I had paid promptly for the last six months they could reduce my interest rate to a 6 something percent rate. When I asked what card, they said all Visa, MasterCard, etc. I asked again specifically what card and what company they were... instant dial tone!!!
Definitely a SCAM....! Warn your family and friends....!

Just got second call from this company, started as a last chance to lower your interest rates. As this was the second time I answered this call I chose option 9 to speak to an operator. When he answered I asked who this was and he asked who I was. I again asked who he was and he said (b*#@$) and hung up. I am calling MO attorney general tomorrow.

They called me today. Same thing as before.
With the current economy and government-forced changes in the way credit card companies work, I think this time of scam is going to be on the rise.
suzyqrob 2010-06-24 02:18:56 Unknown
Account services. They were offereing to lower interest on credit card. They wanted you to punch a number and be transfered. Since it was message on answering machine, the call wasn't transfered.
