The defendant in the counterfeiting case was determined to be Raymond Edward Washington, who was impersonating Kennard Gregg (apparently using his VA id to obtain methadone, and passing counterfeit money at the VA), http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-3rd-circuit/1195259.html.  I don't know if they are the same person as Gregg Kennard, but it is suspicious that he pops up in 2009, a year after Raymond manages to escape his sentence for lying to federal judges.

The clothing donations that are given to Nspire Outreach have been put to more than good use!  Not only do the funds from clothing sales help generate money to feed, employ and house many homeless people, but they also provide them with clothing!  1000s of articles of clothing were given out this year with the help of program director and Pastor Gregg Kennard!! I had just gotten back home from the military and I didn't have anywhere to go.  I was lost and confused and my family wasn't trying to support me.  Gregg Kennard told me about the Nspire program one night at the safehouse outreach in Atlanta.  I have since joined that program and have never looked back at homelessness again! Please .... People can join the military if they want more boot camp conditions and less freedom. Let's not be distracted from the primary issue here, that Kennard's cult annoys the hell out of people with nuisance calls and sends hand-wringing shills to sites like this. They aim to "Nsprire" guilt and uncertainty among its very justified detractors. Don't sound so wounded when it's not working.

Yes these poor exploited people should just go back to the streets, where they have NO salary and NO roof over their head (that HAS to be better than sharing a small space with others). On the streets they wouldn't have to worry about being forced to go to a church or God forbid, do chores. And being subjected to workouts from a non-professional trainer? That is preposterous. I'm sure they would be much healthier eating cheap food part-time and enjoying a sedentary lifestyle.

No, I don't have any ties to this organization. I arrived at this page accidentally, and all I know about this organization is what you have written about them. If your report is accurate, they sound like many treatment programs designed to get people on their feet?places with strict rules, expectations and requirements. If people feel exploited, I'm sure they can return to whatever quality of life they had before joining. My guess is that the people criticizing this program are a lot less helpful to the homeless than the program is.

Wanted me to have a bag of clothing, etc. for them to pick up for the needy and homeless.  I found this website by trying to determine if they were legitimate.  They said the name of their organization was Insight Atlanta.

They did the hang up routine to us early this morning - we are NOT morning people!  The thing is, if you block it the same call will come through on a different line!

I get daily phone calls from this number and similar numbers all with the Caller ID of Pick Up.  One related report on this website for a similar number was Cure Atlanta Clothing Pick Up. Neither Cure Atlanta or Insight Atlanta are currently registered with the GA Secretary of State.  Insight Atlanta is a dissolved for profit corporation, not a non-profit.

This company is exploiting homeless people. This company is housing five people in two bedroom apartments, having homeless people work nine hours a day, and giving them $50 dollars a week to survive on. On top of that this company is charging the homeless people $400 to live in a two bedroom apartment with four additional people. They claim that they are holding on to the homeless clients money until the end of a year's term, but does not offer their clients their money with interest at the end of the year's term. Within the company's 5 year term they have graduated probably 10 people at best. So their success ratio is less than one percent. In addition, this company makes the homeless do various chores without additional pay on their days off. This company hides behind a church, and gets away with unethical practices. The homeless clients are also being forced to go to the nspire church whether or not it is in agreement with their personal religion. The homeless clients are being forced to adhere to whatever ruling the nspire commititee desires. They also make them exercise three days a week with a one regimen fits all, on top of nine hours a day work schedule. Plus the trainer is not a professional trainer. The government or the better business bureau needs to investigate this company because they are only helping themselves by exploiting the homeless people who are in dire need.

In United States v. Kennard Gregg, 2006 WL 463876, after being arrested and charged for twice attempting to sell counterfeit money to a government informant, defendant Gregg pled guilty to two counts of dealing in counterfeit obligations in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 473. Gregg was sentenced to six months in prison and three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay restitution to the federal government in the amount of $350. He appeals only the restitution order.

It isn't realistic to think that any one person could list all of the reasons why you should avoid the charming people at Nspire, or all of the reasons you might wish to see them out of business.

This is particularly true because they hide behind so many phone numbers. and each number gets its own page on 800notes.  Since some of you might like to see, or even post to, these additional pages, here is a list of some of them:

I work for a pickup service American Kidney Services and we do the pickup of used clothing and household items that the donor no longer needs or uses.  American Kidney Services supports the work of American Kidney Fund and you can find all the information you want on them just by doing a Google search.  Nspire on the other hand is not so easily found.  My problem with Nspire is that they have no ethics or morals as they have "stolen" donations from American Kidney Services by either taking the donations left out by donors that are clearly marked to be given to AKS or AKF.  They have somehow managed to get the dates of our pickups and then call the people a day or two ahead sometimes a week and tell them they will be there

I am the executive director of the NSPIRE Atlanta program. My personal cell number is 678-462-3335. Call me with any concerns or questions.

Please note that we have around 25,000 people who commit to donate, clothes and household items per month. About 1/2 of the work force between callers and truck drivers are our clients. They want to do a good job. Sometimes a ball gets dropped, or their PR skills are not world-class. We are giving them an opportunity, a hand "up."

Thank you for your patience as they are trying to restore their lives. They are truly fantastic people, worthy of your suppport and generoisty.

Thank you!

This organization hires homeless people to phone solicit they have dozens of number sheets, all with my phone number on it & I have received calls every day for the past week 2 to 4 times a day both very early, before 8 a.m. &  late after 9 p.m.. They call from a different number every time & each time I have asked to be removed from their calling list. The calls keep coming day after day no matter how many times I beg them to STOP CALLING. They are a non-profit & taking full advantage of their right to call people & beg for donations.I already have a preferred donation site for my goods & will NEVER donate to this very bothersome organization that is obviously raking in thousands of dollars & wasting it all on multi phone lines to go in under the radar for having their number blocked. There is no way to block their phone numbers without a complete list of numbers.I want the charity to organize their actions enough to know that when a residential phone number is called, & they are asked to be removed from the calling list, that there is no chance at all, that another representative would EVER dial that number again. REMOVE MEANS REMOVE!!!!! TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST MEANS- I DO NOT EVER WANT TO ANSWER THE PHONE WITH A CALL FROM YOUR ORGANIZATION EVER AGAIN!!!!These people are very threatening, they have your name address and phone number & one representative that called threatened that he knew where we lived & that maybe he should just come to our house & let us give him a job. This representative kept saying our street address over & over & said he knew where we live. This is very threatening & when GREGG KENNARD the founder & Paster of the Church that started this Org. was called, he quoted from the bible a verse where Peter decapitated someone & Jesus made him a disciple. He went on to say that he did not see anything wrong with giving call sheets with peoples personal information to unstable homeless crack addicts, that God uses less than perfect people to get jobs done.  Now we know that a homeless man that knows where we live, can come cut off our heads & this pastor will be there to help this poor guy put his life back together just because we already have a place we donate our clothes. The calls keep coming I was awakened yet again today & they wont stop calling over & over again. I am going to have every organization investigate this Clothing Pick Up phone solicitation group...I will put an end to the harassing Threatening calls....
