Called the number back and it Mervyn's. I do have a card from them, so this is correct.

This is Meryvns, and I do have a card.  The other number is 330-433-5836.  They call and leave no messages. They call up almost nine at night. Two calls this morning already, and 7 yesterday on the 330 number, even tho as I have stated before on the 330 number we have written the company(GE Money) to cease the hang up calls.

These calls are constant and annoying. I owe no money as per Mervyn's! I called the number back on caller ID, the number is disconnected or no longer in service. I call them back 2 minutes after they called me. These calls are unwarranted and incorrect! Consumer beware!

I just called the number and believe it to be a scam.  The first ask form my Mervyn's Card number and I have never had a Mervyn's card, they then ask for my Social Security number.  At best, the only part of the SS number most banks or other services ask for now is the last 4 digits of your SS.  I am getting the GE Money calls beginning at about 5pm and they go on every 45 minutes up till 9pm.

its 2:17 pm on sunday and i received two calls from 678-518-3098 already.  i receive calls from this number more than six times per day until 10 pm on weekdays and i had enough.  why they are doing these?

I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number for two weeks, many times a day. If I answer but don't say anything, the call drops. They do not leave a voice mail. Once I answered and they asked for someone whose name I do not know. I have no association with Mervyn's so as far as I can tell these are harrassing calls.

They are illegal. They asked my for my name and social I didn't give. They are GE money - Mervyns.
It's a scam - don't pay them anything

Constant calls to my prepaid phone, cost me a lot of money daily and annoyance with calls coming at bad/busy times, also late in the evenings.

This is G.E. Money Bank which also services Lowes Credit Center, H.H. Gregg,J.C. Penney and Dillards.  If you have a card associated with a national chain store, not just Mervyn's, then they probably service it.

Yes, GE Money.  They are over A LOT of cards.  They are also really good to work with depending on the Card.  Citibank is the best, I have ALL of my Citibank based cards at 0 or 1%.  Yes, its true, I'm not lying, nor am I throwing money away to some STUPID collect manager.  (That is a scam)  Make the phone call yourself.  Don't like the answer? Don't pay.  What are they going to do? Ruin your credit?  If yours is like mine, that is NO threat at all.  Unsecured debt, unless proven to be fraud (You went out got the card then will not pay after maxing it out) is not collectible.  They can not unless under certain circumstances, usually for 10K+ on one card or better do much about it.  Tired of the calls?  Get a google voice number and give it to your creditors, then enter them in as contacts, and setup special voice mail message for them.  Each time the call comes in make it go straight to that message.  "You have reached me, my address is 123abc street, submit any all settlement offers to that address" or "Ya, I know I owe you, and everyone else.  Take a number!"  See if your cell phone will put the number directly to VM.  No more bothersome calls.  

I am not an attorney, all information is provided from personal experience, your situation may vary as may your results.  Start NICE, then you can get mean.  Know that the person on the other end is just trying to pay their bills too.  But when you start in with 4 letter words, you can bet the 0% interest goes away too.  Good Luck everyone!

They call like 8 or more times a day sometimes w/automated machine and then if you don't answer or if you do answer they call back w/a live person about 10 secs later.They call also at like 8 am then at lunch time and then at dinner time and last but not least right before we go to bed.
