Got a phone call from them this afternoon, asking if I had written a check and wanting to verify that I indeed wrote the check. They asked for some details, such as who I made the check out to and the amount, but were able to provide some as well (IE when the check was dated). I called the number on the back of my BofA card and they were able to verify it was a legit number

they called from 678-554-0219. They left a voicemail saying to call 877-887-8935 back to to verify a transaction. when I called this number it said Bank of America check fraud protection unit. As I called they immediately wanted my account number. they could not tell me why they have called 10 minutes ago. I do not have any checks, so I immediately supposed it was a fraud. I stopped at the Bank to report and they said they never call to verify checks and they never ask for account number because they already know it....It is a fraud.
