Um, gentle reader, you do realize this site is not owned, operated or probably ever viewed by the happy public servants at the Cobb County school system.

Now, angry, angry fellow Cobb Countian, I know, we all want to scream and fuss and turn-red-in-the-face and believe doing so will bring quick relief to what ails us.  Sadly, however, it isn't always so.

First, realize you're probably on the list, because at some point you asked to be notified of important events by your son or daughter's school, such as - well, such as we face today - weather-related school closings.

Do yourself a favor.  Take a long breath.  That call is not going to ruin you life.  Your curses and bitter denouncements are mere screams in a vacuum that no one hears ... at least anyone who might, say, kindly unsubscribe you from the list.

So, I recommend to you, impatient over-reactor, if this truly is the thorn in your puddy cat's paw, then tomorrow, call the Cobb County School System.

Since new technology like the telephone and the "World Wide Web" seem difficult and frustrating to you, I have provided the main number to the School System to help this be a pleasant, new experience in the world of problem solving.

Neil, no one here can make it stop. You need to contact them and make them stop. Send them a cease and desist via certified mail if you need to.  You might also file a complaint with your phone service provider as well.  And you can also buy a call blocking device or phone.

2 CALLS IN A ROW AND NO ANSWER

This is a call from Cobb County School. Not a scam.

I've been getting calls saying my child did not attend school,I don't have any children.  Please stop calling 770-912-6249

I just called 770-426-3300 and was directed to a person's voicemail in the communications dept for cobb county schools, you can leave your phone number on the voicemail and they are supposed to remove it from the system.

Started again .. Two "dead" calls within a few hours, then Cobb County School System had a broadcast Robo-message that three 2011-2012 school calendars are available for "voting" on.

Fix your system so it will stop calling me over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Fix your system......

I have received about 10 calls in the last 30 minutes.  I answer and there is no message.  I am getting kids in bed and it is very disruptive.  Please quit calling.

Diana it did the same thing to me today. Kept calling me back to back

calls me over and over and over and when i answer it says NOTHING, I mean as SOON as i hang up its automatically calling me again and still not saying a thing. so far i got about 6 calls back to back
total for the day so far 10!!

I've received 7 calls in 50 minutes.  No message is left on the answering machine and when I answer it's only to static.  I've called the # back but only receive static.
