i just changed my number to stop this number and it called me again and offered free vacation for answering a damned survey.  it was a machine.  called it back and said the 'number or code was incorrect.  anybody know how to report these people please tell me, they scan numbers and the computer calls every single number there is.  seriously, it calls 111111111 111111112 etc. my friend that had the number one digit over mine immediately got called, and my dad who is 4 digits over mine got called not long after that.

I get several calls daily from this number.  i have now registered at the donotcall.gov by calling  888-382-1222.  I'm willing to try anything at this point.

I get calls, but haven't answered it yet.  Figured if it was important they would leave a message.

If you wait for the message to be over and press 9 it will direct you to the number removal center.  It is automated and it will read your number and give you directions on how to finish taking your name off the list.

This call came in at 5:20 pm west coast time. It was an automated call that started with the sound of a fog horn followed by "This is your captain speaking..." it was an offer for two free boarding passes for a cruise to the Bahamas in exchange for answering 10 survey questions.

I hung up when it asked me to press 1.

The caller ID said "wireless call". According to wikipedia, the area code is from near Atlanta, Georgia.

Had this call about a month ago, hanging up immediately when I realized it was an automated call. They called again today, I wanted to details on the scam, so I played the game. I took the quick little survey about if I used satellite/cable TV, had septic tank or city sewer, paid credit/debit/check, etc. They put me through to an operator asking for my name, phone number, and zipcode and told I would be contacted within 72 hours by a travel agency. The next recording was for me to go to householdsurveys.com and enter the phone number and zipcode I told the rep. Maybe I heard it wrong, beause householdsurveys.com doesn't exist, but www.householdsurvey.com does exist and I entered the appropriate information (phone number and zipcode). Then it shows my survey with my questions and answers, operator number, survey date, all the information I gave to the rep on the phone (name, work number, junk email address, and home zipcode). Then at the bottom of that screen:

"The information that I have provided through this process is true and correct. In exchange for my participation in a Consumer Market Research Survey, I will receive a complimentary Bahamas Cruise. I accept this reward and agree to be contacted by a travel coordinator within 72 hours to go over the information regarding this reward"

Then an "I Agree, Complete My Confirmation" button. There is confirmation of the whole thing plus a Free Cruise Voucher for 2 nights on the Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines and a confirmation code. One of the cruise coordinators will be contacting me within 72 hours...YEY!!!...actually a scam is a scam and I wouldn't go on the cruise even if it was legitimate. Funny thing though, on their website they have ads from Google for "Paid Survey Scams Exposed" and the like. So, they're doing their best to seems legit. Plus I heard about 50 other operators in the background while I was talking to mine. Doubt, I'll hear anything else back or actually get legitimate tickets (not like I'm going down to Ft. Lauderdale, FL to depart on some cruise from some phone spam anyways). Worst they can do now is spam my fake email, call my work phone again (which is now on the national do-not-call list and I'm ready to sue when they call again), and send me more junk mail that I already get (didn't provide my address, but my name should do the trick).

We are in the UK - same message - directed to a website but after reading all of this will not put date in it. Am usually so careful - they only got a temporary number for me and my name at a temporary address. What can they do with this information? Just send junk mail etc? Has anyone been scammed out of money?

Received a call at 2.10pm (UK time) from an unknown number. As another report here states - I got the same stupid loud horn 'captain here' rubbish. Then the offer of cruise passes etc if I answered the survey. Usually I would never entertain such rubbish and I hang up, but for some stupid reason I did today. I'm really cross with myself as all the other reports here state - of course it's a scam! The website of course doesn't exist either! The 'live' person took address details after I answered the survey.I'll now be keeping a very close eye on my banking info. Thank god for this site and google! Very helpful.

Got the call at 4:45pm. Was bored so I went thru the whole servey.  Got a lady on the phone and asked so what's the catch, she said no catch.  So I answered her questions, waiting for a question that would set off alarms, didn't really get any.  But as an after thought she was trying to get my cell number off me.  Kept asking for a number best to reach me.  Tried to find the email address they supplied, phoney!  I am sick of this crap and it's leaking into our cell phones!

They called and hung up.  Tired of getting calls like this all hours of day and night.  I've asked others to take me off their list but continue to get the calls.  When I ask to talk to the supervisor he/she always says it takes up to 60 days to remove.  Well it's been six months.  I know it's Qwest- my phone company who sold my # cause the person who I set my account up with spelled my name Hidy-  now I'm getting junk mail with that spelling and the people on the phone ask me to confirm my name and tell me they have it spelled the wrong way.  Makes me want to use a cup and string.

This one is making me nuts. Ship's Fog Horn blaring in your ear when you answer the phone.  It started shortly after I returned from a cruise on the 'Fun Ship' so I figured it had something to do with them.  Glad to see others are being bothered as well.  This really peeves me because I have recieved numerous calls while traveling internationally causing me big roaming fees to answer their stupid calls.

I received this at my office and if you wait till the message is over and press 9 it will direct you to the call removal center.  Then they take your name off. So tough out the annoying blarring horn and the opportunity to receive an all inclusive trip to Nassau and get the number removed.

First time I heard of this company was just the last two weeks, since I got a new home phone with a new number.  The very first thing I did the day I knew what number I would receive from the phone company was to register my number at the national Do-Not-Call-Registry (DNCR)at https://www.donotcall.gov/.  Problem is, in order to file a complaint about these people, I have to be listed with the DNCR for at least 31 days!  This company calls several times a day every day!  In addition they've found a loop hole because they are considered to be an organization taking a survey... not considered as telemarketers... though that's who they really are!  I implore all of you to register your phone numbers (all of them, even fax numbers you have) and then after 31 days start writing complaints!  The FTC will take caction and it can go to court!  Take action now! (And Good Luck!)
