First of all, this is not fraud.  The legal definition of fraud does not, except in specific instances, include failure to pay a loan.  Secondly, MOST of the time, these loans have been at least partially repaid and so-called "collection agencies"  buy them for pennies on the dollar in an attempt to EXTORT monies far exceeding the original agreements.  Third, MANY times, the calls are to the wrong people; either because of a similar name or simply a relationship with the debtor.  Put the information in writing, including all fees and negotiation terms and send it to the debtor as a registered, signature required, package.  That's the way to do business; not hounding people at all hours of the night, calling their friends, families or work place.  Such behavior is brutal and primitive.  Leave it for the monkeys who want to steal each others' bananas.  Start behaving like a human.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Oh nice of you to admit being a deadbeat..  speaking of growing up, turn yourself in for being a criminal, do your time and then go get a real job and learn how to work supporting yourself instead of being a lying extortion criminal and thief taking money from others that actually work and pay bills.  No one owes you a hand out from lies or a free living.

Another experienced deadbeat who has been there, done that.  Nothing like hearing from an expert deadbeat who has so much time on his hands (and probably no job).

Hey shill, can you even read?  Did anyone even indicate they had a loan?  Off course not --- you expect everyone to believe you just wander in here at random to share you life philosophy with them, for free?  Nice try!  You can't even spell basic word or complete a sentence, yet you expect people to take advice from you?

Now, go crawl back under your rock

A Mr. Bennett called and left a message saying that I needed to give a statement regarding an urgent legal matter to the Sheriff's Office in the District of Columbia County - as far as I know D.C. is not a county.  He sounded a bit like an idiot really - not sure of what he was saying.  He also said that I, a legal representative, or a bondsman could call on my behalf.
