I got an email just this past week of a lady wanting to buy Scentsy for her daughter. She also stated that her debitor accidentally sent me the full amount instead of cutting two checks.. She also wanted me to take out the amount that she owed me and then send the rest to her daughters wedding planner in New Jersey, but her daughter lives in Flordia..
I had no idea there was a scam like this going on.  I will not fall for that again!

I got the same email about the lady being deaf and her debtor had sent me the total amount for the scentsy plus the amount that was supposed to go to her daughters wedding even planned. She asked that I send the rest via western union.  Red flag. Don't fall for these scams.

I also received an email for a large order. She said she was deaf.  She wanted to send me a cahiers check or a money order.  Then she contacts me again and says that her payee accidently sent me money for the order and the money that was suppose to be for her daughter's wedding.  Could I please take out what she owes me for the order and send the rest back through Money Gram or Western Union? ????    Red Flag!   I received a check, not a money order or a cashiers check.  I am going to take it to the authorities.

Fraud / Scam

The crook goes by the name RAUL ACOSTA 678-701-9193, from Macon, Georgiaclaimed and claims to be an international monetary exchange expert going to China. Email address:
    Re: Translations..ENG_CHN

His associate issued a fraudulent check is by the name JAN QUINN. The bank is "usbank" Mineapolis, MN 55480.  Routing # 122235821 Account # 153410023953

They "overpay" in the check and ask you to payback the overpaid amount to:

I checked at usbank here and found out it was a fraudulent check.

The guy deleted his email address after that. Any further email is sent to sender.

Now I think This is a scam!!!!

I got almost the same email as many others have received.  This lady wanted to order close to $900 in Scentsy products and said that she couldn't order from the website because her credit card had been hacked and she preferred to sent a bank draft or certified check.  I waited and waited and waited and no check arrived.  The order was supposed to be shipped to California but she told me that her secretary sent the check from either NJ or WA.  Yeah, right.

Anyway, I thought everything was over and done with when she contacted me again apologizing for the delay, saying that she had been in the hospital and was just released.

I told her that I found this transaction to be iffy and demanded a phone number and this is the number that she gave me which I traced back to this website.  I will be reporting her to Scentsy and will report her anywhere else I can.  STAY AWAY FROM HER.  She goes by the name of Michelle Hickson and I received an email from someone named Shannon as well she claims to be her secretary.

It's still going on... just got an email early this morning.  They are trolling the Scentsy.com website as I've only been a consultant for 2 months.

Got excited like everyone else for about 30 seconds and then started investigating. This was the original email...

How are you doing? I am interested in ordering some Scentsy product.I have heard a lot about Scentsy and also the lovely products they have developed during the years and i am delighted to have used some.I have checked the online catalog, and i'll kindly like to order the below item.

(SB-LNG) Linger Scentsy Bar - 8 qty

(DSW-VALE) Valentine Full-Size Scentsy Warmer PREMIUM - 8qty

(SB-ENC) Enchanted Mist Scentsy Bar - 8 qty

(SB-SIR) Simply Irresistible Scentsy Bar - 10 qty

cream (DSW-SCRE) warmers - 10 qty

Quantities of warmers was hinky.  Did send an email just to see what they say, but they got no other contact information from me.  This types of orders could happen but not not often.

I'll need you to send me the total cost for this item listed above including shipping to (23. W. 12th St, New York NY 10011-8514 ).If you are wondering where i got your contact from,i got it from your page on the scentsy website...

This number is being used by a scammer.  the typical scam is they "accidentally" send you too much money with a counterfeit money order and then ask you to send them back the amount which was overpaid through moneygram.  Weeks later the money order will bounce

Talk about a major disappointment!!  I was all excited with the holidays the large order sure would have been nice on the commision.  I was debating back and forth if this was a scam or not.  Trying not to get my hopes up to high.  But when I saw some of the above posts, I got the same thing.  Well at least now I know not to be counting on that order.  Merry Christmas

Well I just got the same email for all the same products. However I called the number and this is the first time I ever heard a real person to get on the phone and actually type a real message over the phone. She told me that Jenny would get the message. The funny thing was that I am from New York City and I didn't recognized the area code the only area code that I am aware of for NYC is 718 or 212. WOW unbelievable. I too am a Sentsy Consultant

I got a similar email this morning about wanting to order some Scentsy products as well and I went digging through the email to find its actual origin and whatnot.  Though this "Jenny" claim she lives in New York, but having a Georgia number, the email I got was actually sent via a server in Turkey.  Yeah, no red flags there....

If anybody ever asks you to pay for it yourself then they'll pay you back, don't do it!  You won't get paid.  Just refer them to your website.  If they tell you to send a quote, go right ahead, but if you give them your address and they send you a cashier's check, money order or personal check, take it to the police immediately!  It's fraudulent and, even though it will cash, when the bank goes to collect the funds, they'll find out it isn't real and they'll come back to you for the money.

DO NOT FALL VICTIM!

Oh, so fun.  Can't do any business nowadays without somebody trying to screw you out of free product.  I'm just curious to know how many people fall for it.  I got the same message early this morning from a "Jenny" wanting to order $745 worth of merchandise and I kindly responded with my website address and the item codes for the items.  I'm sure I'll get response email tomorrow and I'll see if I can drive them up the wall then.  :)

I received this email as well early this morning, I'm definitely glad I googled to see if this was a scam before I figured it all up and responded to her.  I thought that it was weird that she just didn't order from my website and also that she wanted so many of the same items.  Once again I am so glad I looked into this because I will more than likely not be responding to this email.
