I too got this call and I never entered anything. This must be a scam.

I got a call from this company and it said that I had won a prize because of an entry I filled out at Hallmark.  He said to ask for Mark Heart.  I never completed an entry form at Hallmark.  I will not call them back.  This should be illegal if it is a collection agency.

I received two calls from this number, when the phone is answered, they hang up.  I tried calling it back and got a machine that says "verification department".

Some type of collection agency scam. When you call them back they won't tell you who they are just that you owe a debt and you better pay up.

I got almost the exact same call from someone saying they were from the verification department and I had filled out a blue entry form and won a Lincoln Navigator or at the very least a flast screen TV.  However, the number they told me to call back was 610-621-4576 and I was told to ask for Mike Livingstone.  Very odd, I never fill out those forms for fear of identification theft.

Call just showed as "unknown caller" - but is most similar to the incidents reported above - so it may have been made from the same phone number.

They had my name, address, (and obviously telephone number) and asked if I remembered filling out a "ballot" when making a Toshiba or Lincoln motors purchase.  They even gave a supposed date (about 9 months ago) that I had supposedly filled out this "ballot".  They said they were giving away $2500, or a trip to Orlando (minus taxes and fees), or a Lincoln Navigator.  They said to qualify, I had to be married, between the ages of 28 and 70, and have a household income of more than $50,000.  When I told the person I was not married - he/she seemed very flustered and kept asking "couldn't you arrange something", "just for a day", "just for 90 minutes", "some women friend or cousin or something" to "go to the giveaway center" (they did not say where that was).  *Very* bizarre - the only thing I could think of is they wanted to know whether I was single/married for some particular reason - or - it was a setup to get me to leave the house at a particular date/time.

I got the same message and was afraid to call since I'd heard that sometimes it's a long distance company trying to rack up calls.  I decided to google it. Wow, many people got the same exact message.

The number is from Atlanta, Georgia - you can look up reverse phone numbers on the web. type aywho.com and enter reverse look up.  I too received several calls this morning.  Getting tired of these scam artists.  Can't someone do something about them.,  Also, there is too much private info on web.  Poeple beware and guard your identities

I've recieved at least two calls from this number with the same message as above (Lincoln Navigator/Toshiba TV etc.)  I hold to the philosophy that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I did NOT call back, but I was curious so I did as many of you & Googled the number & found this site.  No idea how they got my number as all my numbers are registered on the "Do Not Call" list.  I just wonder how they scam your money if all they do is hang up...?

I received a call from 678-799-7847 stating I filled out a little blue card on line and that I won a Navigator or a flat screen televsion.  Towards the end of the voice it said to call them back for a brief conversation about the prize and taxes that could be due.  Total money scam!!!

Area code is Atlanta. It would be great if anyone has paid for a search service with reverse phone lookup to enter these numbers and find out where these jerks live. Maybe notify a local TV station investigative reporter?

I got the same phone call as mentioned above, but I googled the number found this website and did NOT call back.  Sounds like a scam to me.

I am getting calls from 1-678-799-7847 and as soon as I say hello, they hang up. After reading the other posts, maybe I should be glad they just hang up. After several calls like this, I called the phone number back, just a message saying you have reached the verification dept. I left a message saying whoever keeps calling me from this number can f**k off

I recieve the same call as above.  But I did call the number back and than had to leave a message for Mark Hart to return my call.  He did with in minutes and went onto explain that I won either a Lincoln Nagaviotr which I could exchange for 39,000 cash, 2,500 in cash, 3 day 2 night to cancun or a 32" flat screen TV.  The catch is you have to attend one of those sales pitches for vacation property which lasts about 90 minutes.  And they said both my husband and I must attend.  (in 2003 another company lost in court as the courts deemed that discrimation, these days we can buy what ever we want with or without our spouse)  I asked what if he's out of the country, Mark had no idea he'd have to check into it and call me back, yeah right.  I NEVER filled out anything on line or did they EVER send me any emails saying I had won anything.  So beware of those vacation properties and sales pitches.  When attending those meetings you have to prove household income etc

I have my number blocked and on do not call list. Legally they can't sell, I think it is a scam, I have been told on messages I have won an Escalade...$500....that I was only given a small time frame to call back...I don't give my number out when I do "entries" so this has to be a scam.  I'm going to call the pphone company and have this number blocked.

I wonder what this scam is?  It doesn't seem like they're collecting anything from anyone??  VERY STRANGE!  I, too, received a phone call and then googled the number.  I did call back, but got a message asking for me to leave a message, but I didn't.  Crazy strange.  Does anyone know where this area code is from?

It's actually funny that they say, "at least a Toshiba flat screen television" but wish you luck on your new vehicle. And did you know that either prize was worth well over $500? Imagine that!

If they don't mention your name and what contest you entered, it's all B/S. Before you do business with anyone, Google them. You'll be surprised by what you can learn. It's the information age so it's getting harder and harder for scammers to hide. Here's to the internet and sites like this!

They called and said "Please call Mark Hart at 678-799-7847 we have some pretty decent news for you.  We also have a claim number and an address to go pick up your prize.  Since all prizes are valued at over 500 we will need 5 mins to go over some tax information.  Good luck with the car."  I thought that this might be in reference to a survey prize I took from wal-mart. Besides, I'm on the do not call list so what else could it be?  But when I did some research online and found this GREAT website it seems to be pretty clear it is a scam.  I left a message just to see if they would call back but nobody has.

They called me at least three times saying they were the Verification Department - saying I won a Lincoln Navigator or flat screen TV. The third call requested I call Mark again. I justreturned the call and got the answering machine again then I decided to use Google to find out any info about this.

I just received a call from this number, but i am on the do not call list and never answer calls from "unknown", etc...after reading the comments I am glad i didn't answer..have not filled out any forms anywhere, and don't need pesky calls.

I RECIEVED THE SAME SCAM. I ASKED THIS LADY NAMED MARY WHOM IN MY FAMILY FILLED OUT THIS BLUE FORM IN THE MALL. WHAT MALL AND AT HAT TIME , I ALSO ASKED HER. I NEVER GOT A RETURN CALL. BEWARE --- I DO NOT TRUST THESE INDIVIGUALS.

Activated a new cellphone number last month and have received at least one call every day from this number. But when I answer, the line is dead. When I call back, get only an unidentified voice mail.

I don't fill out online forms or anything at malls or movie theaters, I bet they think they are very clever with this line.

Exact same information as Ale's above except that this time it was a Lincoln Navigator.  It said to cantact Mark Heart.  When I told them that I had googled them and that it shows up as a collection agency, they laughed assuring me that they weren't.  I told them that if they are a collection agency, admit it and I'd like to know who I own any money so we could resolve the situation.
