I have received a call from this number, asked for me by name, just told them they had a wrong number. Called it right back and was told that the number "was not a working number". What gives? Unfortunately the DoNotCall list only pertains to telemarketers, not creditors, surveys, or political parties, sure wish it did.

ID said that it was a "private call" ... which absolutely makes it look like some sort of nuisance call.  The number of these sorts of calls, seem infinite .... and it doesn't seem to help much if you never answer the phone..

I received a call last night around 5:45PM.  The lady was asking for my husband.  I responded by saying has been died for 15 years.  I'm also on the Do Not Call List.  Why can't the federal government make these people stop calling those listed on the DO Not Call List.  Isn?t this part of the federal government job for regulations over sight?  Again this is just another government program that we the public are not benefiting from.  Enough said.

Sick Of It is correct - this is a Republican Party PR firm in Marietta Georgia that calls and intentionally annoys voters before elections, pretending to be from Democratic candidates.  

Sometimes they pretend to be an unbiased poll but the questions make their opponents look bad, and sometimes they just call at inconvenient hours on purpose, making no sense but identifying themselves as working for the opponent, to tick voters off.  It's an old trick.

I got a call from this number about 3 hours ago. When I picked up, it just played some weird music for exactly 57 seconds after I said 'hello'. The music was muffled and sounded kind of in the background and as soon as the music ended, they hung up. We called back and as with all of you, it said the number was not in service. Is this some kind of prank or political bull-crap gone wrong?

I just received a call on my work extension from this number.  I screen most of my calls.  I looked the number up and of course, it's unlisted.  They did not leave a message.  Based on the comments above, I decided to call the number back.  It said the number is not in service and had all these electronic psychedelic sounds accompanying the message.  Totally bizarre!

Congratulations, the call was from a Republican pollster designed to create questions about Coakley's competence and positions.  You - and the country, were had.

Got a call from this number at 8:50 pm.  Seems late but apparently legal for political polling.  Unable to call them back, "The number you have dialed is not currently in service."

I do not want to receive any calls from this number out of Georgia 678-905-0651.  I did not answer this call

Just got a call asking me what time i was going out to vote on Tues. AM or PM,  I asked them why are they coming by my house to ROB me, they didnt think i was funny, and still didnt take no for an answer and said they were just trying to figure out when people were going to vote and if i was also going to vote on everything on the ballot,
then when i tried to cl back it said the call can not be completed and it came in as private ,
so much for being on the DO NOT CALL LIST , someone told me when you get calls from someone like this answer and press the pound symbol and that should stop it ,

We pour out our guts, complaining about all these unwanted calls and how we can get it fixed.  We are on the DoNotCall list, but still getting calls.  It seems like We are not being heard.  So I'm asking, how can we get these calls stopped and can 800NOTES be able to help us?  The phone companies won't do anything about it, so what's next.  I wish I didn't need my phone service, I could do away with the service

Like many other, I am on the Do Not Call list but still get these calls.  I never pick up my phone if I don't know the number, but thanks to those who do and report it on here.  That list seems like a joke, it must have been sold to a variety of organizations...

Caller leaves no message.  Tried to call number back and was told "Due to technical difficulties, this call cannot be completed at this time."  Call came in at 8:20 PM.  We are on national do not call list.  Even if this call is from a political organization (which is legal even if on the list), the call is definitely at a very late time that is very rude.

I only wish these politicians were as responsive to the current issues at hand. Imagine that politicians would come down on illegal aliens or immigration issues or health care!!!

Receiving pesty calls day and evenings several times per week not only from the above number but many others as well. I am on a do not call list but this does not prevent these calls at all so what is the next step? I am a disabled senior citizen and resting is not easy when constantley being disturbed by these annoying calls.

Just got a call from that number.  It was an awkward, stumbling over her lines young woman asking if we'd be voting in the MA Senate special election.  They were calling on behalf of democrat Martha Coakley.

This is a Republican party political push-polling number.   Either a consulting or marketing firm from Marietta, GA.  Pretends to conduct a "poll" but asks questions designed to make candidates opposing Republicans look bad.
