I got a call at work from a Hispanic-sounding man named "Danny Archer". He said he was an officer with the "Department of Financial Crime" and asked for a coworker of mine. Apparently she had been "listed in a legal case" and needed to call Danny back immediately to avoid being picked up. He seemed urgent. Suspecting fraud, I said the Department of Financial Crime wasn't a real department. "Excuse me?", he replied aggressively. Finally I agreed to pass on the message. He kept saying she had to call him back immediately. I later found descriptions of similar calls on this website, so I'm posting my story with the number that "Danny" gave me.
