caller id shows a call at 8:54 am, no message left.  tried calling back several times, line always busy

This number called me today. I answered, which I don't normally do, and the call disconnected in about two seconds. Nobody was on the other line.

I called back and got a message saying the number had been disconnected.

Something fishy is going on...

Same thing happened with me. Could hear Spanish speaking tv show in the background. 9:28 pm EST. I've had calls from this number before, it rings, I answer, they hang up.

I've read somewhere else that it could be people using Skype somehow. I still don't understand why it never connects for more than a couple seconds.

My caller ID says SE Call Centers. Don't know.

They called me after 10pm.  I have kids.  Said SE CAll CEnter.  Tried to call back and said number has been disconnected

it was my mother calling thru skype...i didn't answer so she called me on my cell and it came up with a different number.

They use multiple phone numbers, including (678) 954-4444 and (404) 494-7938.  It seems to be these creeps: Teleplaza (dot) com .  They hide behind multiple phone numbers with "apparent" presence in multiple states.  Looking on their website reveals all of the lovely ways they try to turn a buck.  They mostly appear to be in the "business" of providing outsourced abuse of people's home phone numbers and privacy.  Like most jerks, they don't want you knowing much about who they really are (try finding out on their web site - good luck).  I did find this however:

They call me 3 times a day and don't say anything when I answer.  They also won't leave a message on answering machine.

phone number appeared when a friend called me from amsterdamn from his personal cell 4:36p 2dy

I got it as a forward from a skype number at 1:15 pm today...

This may in fact be a scam number, but the odd thing is that this number shows up on my cell phone when it forwards any Unknown number - even legitimate ones - from Skype.  Is this number ID a Skype glitch?

Recieved a call, supposedly the person is calling from Hollywood, Fl.  Perhaps a payphone. IDK...
