Called our office at 10:40 AM -- caught part of a message for some type of senior product. Caller ID only listed the number.

The Do Not Call List is for real companies that have a physical address and telephone number (like department stores and credit card companies).  The list just list the people you do not want to receive calls from companies that they have not done business with already.  When scam artists call you, it is hard to track them down because they do not have a physical address and using a spoof number (not the real telephone number).

I just got the same call at 11:39 a.m.  As you, I don't answer
either but it is annoying to say the least!

they call and do not leave a message.  Called id said the call was "UNKNOWN"  .  i do not answer "UNKNOWN" calls  so they might as well quit calling.  Most if not all "UNKNOWN" call are some type of telemarketering or scams.

 We are on a do not call list. Can we not stop these type of bothersome individuals and compnies ? I thought there was some kind of penalty to those who made telemarketing calls to those on such list.

Also if you do a Google search you will notice that this number belongs to a company called J&E Construction in Fort Worth, Texas.  If it was a message about Senior Alert Systems then the scam artists are spoofing the telephone number.

Have you not figured out yet that these types of calls (scams) do not care if you are on a Do Not Call List?  And yes this call was a scam.

I do not know why I bothered to sign up on both federal and state do not call lists. It was a waste of my time!!!

There obviously is no oversight.

Recorded message trying to scare seniors into buying a "Life Alert Medallion" or some such crap.  I've reported the Robo-dial violation and blocked them from calling my phone.  Jerks.

we changed to a new phone number, now some J&E Construction is continuing to call a line that isn't being answered... spoofed??  who knows..

don't know who caller was, it said unknown name. blocked phone number from calling back
