just got a call from this number stating that I had a loan in the amount of 1100 dollars in 2009 that was never paid back.
1st off I can't have a loan while in the army
2nd the loan company has no record of me ever filling out an application and can't send any loans to the state of Colorado.
3rd they told me I have a warrant and Colorado is wanting my info by 3pm. well I called and had Colorado courts run my name state wide and it came up clean.

they also tried to tell me that I was facing 6 years in prison and if I didn't want to go to prison I had to pay 700 dollars. DON'T PAY ANYTHING!!!! DON"T EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!!

Got a call from this company saying in 2010 we had okayed to advertise (we have not) on the Yellowpages.com and that was notified we wanted to cancel this and proceeded to send me to the cancellation dept. Got to cancellation dept and she proceeded to go thru some questions then told me she would be giving me an invoice for $599.  Finally found this website and found out it was scammers. When they called back I proceeded to tell him to cancel everything and to stop calling me. So far they have called back twice now and I have just let it ring. I will be calling the BBB to report them.

Go to Scambook.com.  They have been doing the same to me.  I told them to send it to collections after they threatened to but they wont.  Apparently, from reading the Scambook thing, you just tell them you know it is a scam and they will quit calling.  However, they deserve to be reported to FTC and BBB.

These "people" call daily and never say anything, then hang up.  I called the number back 3 times and pressed "1" to have number removed from calling list after leaving a message containing the number to be removed.  But when you try to leave the message, you are told the mailbox is full and can no longer accept messages.  So now I have to deal with the calls and the hang ups.  I guess the do not call list fails again.

The caller said that our company needed to cancel our advertising contract that was made 2 years ago by "owner."  It would be renewed "tomorrow" for "$599" if we didn't cancel.  I hung up since the company has been out of business for three years since the "owner" died.  I would like to think that if someone could connect from the other side, that taking out an advertising contract would not be on the top of their list of things to do.

Just had UNKNOWN and 682-300-2403.

Opened line and immediately hung up. What pains they are and why don't the gov. make them stop this. They put their fingers and noses into every other thing that concerns us. Why even have Do Not Call List as they sure cannot read it or the numbers on it. These people are the biggest A Holes of the world.

I just got the same phone call. At first I wasn't sure who he was because he was talking in broken English, sounded like Indian to me. He said the name of my boss that he wanted to cancel the subscription we had with them. The guy wanted me to authorize the cancellation, and if I didn't do it now the bill would be $1200. I told him I had to get a hold of my boss and the guy said that I had to hurry up. I told him he was going to have to wait a few minutes. (He ended hanging up.) I put down the phone, called my boss who said we did want to cancel advertising but it wasn't with yellowpages.

I finally looked up the number and found all of these complaints. It would be nice to get rid of these frauds. I'm sure that if someone were to answer yes to their questions and an invoice was mailed, this 'company' would be in the right to collect. Don't say anything, just hang up the phone. If they call back again, tell them you will contact your State Attorney General's office to complain. Also, tell them that you would like to speak with their accounts receivable because they are using your phone equipment for their business and you will send a bill to them!!

Third call from these morons and they don't speak when I answer the phone.  Caller ID says the call is form Arlington, Texas.  The caller hangs up on me after the third time I say "hello" on the phone. Why can't my phone provider invent "call blocking".

Called to verify my name, address and phone number in order to send me a new m medicare card.  He gave me correct info and I verified.  Asked what bank where I do business, and I think I gave him incorrect name (the bank changes so often and I forget name).  Then asked if the first four numbers in lower left corner of my check which he gave me were correct.  They weren't so I said no.  He repeated it again and I said no.  He then said "Then you are not the right person", and hung up.  His accent sounded like from India

Definitely a scam. Exactly as described in numerous posts already-They are cancelling my online yellow pages ad and want to confirm the billing of 600.00 for the service ending. When prompted for documented evidence of this contract(signed documents) to be sent to me by fax, the girl hung up.

Get a call from this number several times a day, days on end.  I google number and others like it and it comes back as SCAM calls.  If this one has anything to do with Yellow Pages, it is a scam.  No business here.

I was contacted by a yellowpages rep today at work, her name was Shelly. She said the owner of the business had called earlier asking to cancel the online listing and she wanted to know if he was available to speak with. I said he was not available at the moment and they asked if I was the secretary. I said yes. They said I would be authorized to make the decision to complete the cancellation. I said 'ok' because to my knowledge and experience, the owner usually doesn't like having to pay for things like 'yellow pages' and whatnot. I was told by Shelly that I would be transferred to another department that would provide me with a cancellation number. Whatever. I was then transferred to a woman named Sabrina who told me I would have to answer some questions first. She began by telling me this call will be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. I said 'ok' reluctantly, because I always feel weird and uncomfortable when they say that for some reason, but I just wanted to get this over with. Then she asked me for my name and I said "Ashley" then she said "and can you provide me with your last name?" and i said "no i rather not give my full name for this cancellation, I'm a secretary and I think that my first name should be enough" so then she hurriedly told me that she couldn't complete the process and hung up. Okay, whatever, back to my work. Seconds later, I received a call back from 'Shelly' asking me 'what's wrong' and why wasn't it completed. Weird! I said it was because I was annoyed that she was asking me for my last name and I thought it was unnecessary, because this is not my business and I don't want to be involved in this whole thing, I was under the impression I was only going to get the cancellation number. Then Shelly told me "yeah you dont have to provide your last name, I will connect you and they will give you the cancellation number"... First of all, if this was legit, why wouldn't my boss have just canceled it right then, when he was supposedly on the phone? --AAGH! I have other things to do than be bothered with this.-- So then I get transferred to this other guy with an accent named Jay who also said he was a supervisor. That much I understood.  Okay so he asked me "So you wouldn't provide your last name? why not? what's the problem?" I said something along the lines of 'Well for one, I don't think its necessary. Shelly told me that I don't have to provide that information and all I'm supposed to do is collect a cancellation number.' and he sternly replied with "really? Shelly told you that? she said you don't have to provide your last name?" i said "yes, and I prefer you speak with the owner himself, he's right here and he can talk to you, I'm not the owner and I dont want to make any authorizations" and he said 'no we'll just put down that your name is Ashley Miller' and i said 'NO my name is NOT Ashley Miller and I don't want to go through with this, i rather you talk to the owner, because he's right here and he can do this himself.'  'No, that this cancellation could not be processed' and he hung up on me. .........Let me just say, SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME!

WTF. Who knows if this was even TRULY Yellow Pages? Any professional company would not have behaved like that. Or would they have? How am I supposed to know? I was taught that there are scammers always out there trying to collect your information so they could use your information that you provide in a recorded call, to tap into your accounts and whatnot and commit fraud, theft and who knows what else! My boss, who also happens to be my uncle, has told me never to give out my name and information especially when a call is recorded and no one can make you do or say anything you don't want to. I am sick of these people calling and harassing the innocent who have more important things to do with their work day.

THEN I told my boss about the call and he said he never even made a call about yellow pages and had no idea what I was talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT THE WAY I WANTED TO START MY FRIDAY!

This is completely Un-American and we need to stand up and make these scam-calls illegal! NO PHONE SOLICITATION ALLOWED!

Just got a call from this number at our business.  After waiting for someone to come on the line they asked for the owner so I figured someone was trying to sell us something.  When I asked them the nature of the call they provided our company name and asked if I was with them.  When I responded that if the call was live they would have heard the company name they hung up.  Guess they didn't like my attitude.  From this website it sounds like you've got to be as rude as they are to get them to hang up.
