They called and didn?t leave a message. Their second call. Using a call blocker to block them now.

They are RELENTLESS!  Receive a call from them daily (today included).  Next time, I think I'll answer, allow them to rattle off a bit, then ask if their system has a function that will keep HPT HPT from calling.

This "company" has called multiple times, using different numbers.  I googled HPT HPT and came up with a web site and a facebook page.  Their fb page claims they represent poor or underprivileged humans.  The grammar is poor, and it's clear that the admin for the fb page hasn't checked his page recently.  They have 1 "like" and a couple of nasty posts by someone who is seriously ticked off by them.  Most recent call 2:32 pm 2-6-13 from the 701-253-0080 number.  CORRECTION:  The other nusiance caller w/ the fb page is H.D.P.D, not HPT HPT.  They all meld together after a while.  Sorry for the mistake, BUT the H.D.P.D. is another pest caller.  Oh, my gosh!  They are calling me as write this!  Answering machine picked up.  No message. Same number.

Got a call and did not answer.  No message.  Of course I am on he DO NOT CALL lists but to no avail.  And the Gov't that cannot even manage a DO NOT CALL list is going to be in charge of my health care.  Yikes!

No response, when I answered. I kepted saying "Hello", but all I had was an empty line.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them.

Cat, your post made me laugh. I also have a talking caller ID and all I could think of was the sound Bill the Cat used to make in the old "Bloom County" comic strip.

The call sounds as though it's a live person, but it's a recording.  It tries to figure out your responses but the system is easily tripped up.

By all means report this as a violation of the Do Not Call Rules.  And be sure to indicate that it *IS* an automated call because that's exactly what it is.

Same here, just hung up. My guess is that this is a scammers' *verification* service, confirming that our numbers on the lists they sell are still working numbers. Liars, liars, tramps and thieves...

I report 'em to DoNotCall.gov but I've never had a follow-up contact...

When asked if I owned or rented, I replied that I am homeless, living under a bridge, and had just found this phone earlier... they hung up..

Get a call blocker, enter these numbers as you get them, they will never ring in again... I'm adding this one now...

They call me constantly and even my call block won't stop them. Recently there has been no voice on the line at all. Today it called me twice within an hour and a half. Also the NO Call Registry has done nothing to help and i have reported these calls everytime. I wish i new where they are located and i would have a court restraining order thrown at them and hopefully put them out of business! ! !

Finally answered this. Some guy selling GE home security. Would not let me tell him I already had security system and didn't need another. Kept going on about discount on GE upgrade surveillance cameras. Hung up on him.  Comes up at HPT on caller ID. You should hear how my talking caller ID pronounces that one.

I've posted on this web site for another number:  555-000-4477.  My number has been targeted to the extent that I frequently have several calls per hour and nearly always daily.  The numbers change, but the "products" don't:  they are always either "card member services" trying to lower my interest rates or "home security" trying to install a "free" alarm system for my home.  MY CALLS STARTED COMING SHORTLY AFTER I GOT PHONE SERVICE THROUGH COMCAST AND LEFT ATT....DID YOURS????  Somehow it is difficult for me to believe that after years at the same number with NO real problem with "Do Not Call" that suddenly I'm bombarded.  Please see my posts on this site for the "555" number mentioned in this post and see if there are connections.  I've also had calls from:  425-320-5064 (caller ID said "Heartland Poker").....417-800-2325....767-275-4471 (area code is Dominican Republic)...849-963-4854 (also Dom. Rep., i think)...and just now while i was typing this from 701-253-0080 a second time during the hour.

I've been getting regular calls from this number for weeks now.  I've tried several times to be removed from the list by pressing the "remove me from the list" option when they present it.  It never works.  I think all it does is clue them in that they found a real person.  My latest attempt was to press the "I'm interested" option so I could talk to a live person.  When I started to ask to be removed from the list, he hung up on me immediately.  Didn't even let me get more than 3 words out.  Given their level of unprofessionalism, it boggles my mind that anyone would even consider buying something from these people.

Asked if Steve was with ISI - yes, I talked to him on ?last week selling GE; Talked to this same guy on 1/25 selling GE. Said he would remove me from list.

The voice on the other end was a live person.  When I started telling her that our phone number was on the no call list she hung up with no more conversation.

HPT HPT calls my home phone (from this number) almost daily. Never anyone, not even a recording on the other end. I keep hoping to talk to someone to tell them to quit calling. Apparently, from other complaints, that won't work, anyway. I agree: they need to be stopped.

They call my cell 2-3 times a day.

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Please take a moment to report this call via an online complaint to regulators.

They need to be stopped. They have not stopped calling even after asking to be removed from their calling list.
