Like the rest of the comments here I have gone through the same BC. I now have a list of fourteen numbers for the same hoax. It has reached the point where after four rings they hang up. I use my caller ID to check calls and let it ring if it is unknown to me. I don't use my answering machine while I am at home. I've logged them from Russia, India,and Romania no less. It is more fun to drive them nuts not answering. I'm retired so this isn't a lack of a life it is a form of revenge!

Shut up, "bigtex." Typing in ALL CAPS doesn't make your point come off as any more valid than anyone else's. It just makes you come off as childish and obnoxious. Grow up, get over yourself, and stop automatically blaming Obama. This has nothing to do with Democrats vs. Republicans, and I really wish people who think like you do would either stay off this site or learn to stop seeing things in such a light.

November 20, 2013: Received a call from 775-229-1197 @ 1:21 P.M. CT; didn't answer, received no message.

Not to state the obvious, but someone needs to shut these clowns and their little operation down. In the meantime, I ought to get a blocker for calls like these.

have to have a phone that has blocking capabilities.  I finally went out and bought a new phone just so i could block.  Get tons of calls for the medic alert and think they can choose a new phone number each time....so i have about 10 of their numbers blocked so far, and did the same with the last chance cc offer.

Just had this number call me. Asked to be removed from the list, and what c/c they're referencing, and couldn't verify. Asked to speak to manager, and was told "I am the manager". I asked his name, wouldn't tell. Asked his employee #, wouldn't tell. Asked how I would reference him, and he started scrunching paper in my ear, stating "I can't hear you sir, the line's bad". And then he hung up.

I got a call from "Card Services" the other day.  I wasn't busy, so I just connected to an operator and asked a lot of questions.  I figured if they can waste mt time, I could waste theirs.  By the way, they told me they connected with Experian and were authorized to lower my credit card interest rate!  What BS.

called regarding credit card interest rates, claiming they can lower it to 6%. We are on no-call list, yet still get unwanted calls.

I get these calls several times a week from credit card services. I don't even listen to them because I only use one card and I pay it off monthly.

I repeatedly get this call.  It is a recorded message.  The message teltells me it is my last warning.  I have 0 credit cards and am not able to block this number.  Tired of it!!!

I am constantly getting calls from this number saying they are from Credit Card Services. I have asked many times to be removed from the call list. I pressed one and told "Lisa" to remove me from the call list. Her exact words were, "not happening" and then she hung up. Got on the BBB website and no such business is listed in that area code by that name. So how do I block this call. I am on the do not call registry already.

If you would have read the previous pages you would have learned the callers were the drug-addicted "card services" scammers", NOT any legitimate "company". Druggies are not known for their intellect or language skills---that's why you were greeted with a very rude comment.

I tried to advise this company that I do not have credit cards and to remove me from their calling list. Before I can full advise them of this either they hang up on me or they make a very rude comment.

Just received a call from this # about 45 minutes ago.  Sounded like a teenage girls with her friends in the background.  She took a lot of pleasure in telling me that she is pregnant with my husband's baby.  I asked her his name.  She said she didn't know.  I told I knew this was a lie and she said no it wasn't that she met him in a bar.  I told her now I really knew she was lieing & I hope she had a good time tonight.  She laughed and said, "Yes, I did!".  Funny thing is my husband had a vasectomy 27 years ago and we live in the Midwest.  I really wish I could get a hold of this girl's mother.  

Keeps calling and no reply when I answer. When I don't answer leaves no message.

I simply pick up the handset and then hang it back up. I don't have any credit card debt so they don't worry me one bit.

One way to hassle the scammers when they call is to press the "#" key on your phone, which produces a loud, annoying beep.  If you hold it down continuously, they it's a steady beep.  Sometimes I play them a little tune on my # key.  Usually, after 10-15 seconds of listening to the beeping, they hang up.  If it's a RoboCall, then there's nothing you can do except hang up immediately.  Being on the DNC list is nothing but a joke.  They won't do anything.  I keep a log of all scammer calls, and after I fill up 2-3-4 pages, I mail them with the form for filing complaints to the state attorney general.  Haven't had any luck there either, though.  Best thing to do = if you don't recognize the caller or phone number, just let it ring until it stops.  Give the # key a try.  You might like it & have some fun with it.

The card service scammers use all spoofed (false ) numbers to avoid being located and prosecuted. NO, they're not calling from Nevada, or for that matter any area code indicated on the caller id.

10-30-13 @ 11:04 AM, 775-229-1197, UNKNOWN NAME =  Wife took call while I was gone.  Robocall talking about interest rates on credit cards.  She just hung up on them.  Not much else you can do.  We are on DNC lists, but those things are totally worthless.  Internet search shows this call came out of Reno, Nevada, area.  Don't know a damn soul in that area.  Nothing but a scammer all the way!

The reason they get away with refusing to have our numbers removed is that the numbers displayed on caller ID are "spoofed" and they know they can't be traced. I told one of the con artists once that it was the law and he had no choice but to remove my number upon my request. He called some choice names and said that he would not remove my number.

They never call my only number that is not on the Do Not Call List.  That is where these terrorists get their numbers from.  

My advice is to not list your number on the Do Not Call List.  Because they only phone lines I get these telephone terrorists trespassing on my phone, are the phones that I have listed at one time, or currently listed on the Do Not Call list.  Another useless government program just like LBJ's War On Poverty Food Stamp program.
