Spoke with a live person at this number twice today, asking them not to call again. One man told me he was with a new phone service and was taking over my land line provider.  Would not give me the company name or any other info.  20 minutes later they began calling and hanging up when I answered.  They called every 20 minutes for two hours.

I just used Debbi's technique.  They wanted me to say I was the administrator or a supervisor, just for their internal categorization.  I kept telling them I was a salesman, and that I wouldn't lie and say anything else (which of course was a lie -- hmm do two lies cancel themselves out, lol).  Anyway, they became frustrated and eventually hung up on me.  We will see if they keep calling me back ? but if they do, I plan on having more fun with them!

This company calls 3 to 4 times a day.  Even though we have told them on numerous occasions to stop calling us they continue to call!  We asked them to put our company name and phone number on their "do not call" list.  

A couple of weeks ago we told them we would report them to the Attorney General's Office if they called again.  The next day we received another call from them.  We have filed our complaint with the Attorney General's Office.

Now when they call and we see their phone # 701-489-7897 on our caller ID we pick up the phone and immediately hang up.

What can be done to stop this harrassment?

I have been receiving multiple messages from this number for about a week.  If I answer, the number disconnects.  If it goes to my machine, a live person says "hello, hello, anyone there" a couple of times, then hangs up.  When I call the number back, there is electronic noise.
I also was getting requests from them about the yellow page listing which I don't have, but have hung up on them.  They keep calling back multiple times a day.
What is going on and what are they trying to do?  Can the phone company block their number?

yes. i've been getting the same call. i've answered a couple times to ask to be removed from the list, but they will not remove me. they just hang up and call back later! pain.

Same a guy with heavy South Asian accent wanted me to verify and I asked where he was calling from he said the yellow pages I asked for  call back number and he hung up, trie dthe phone he called from and it goes nothing but static   a fraud  for sure.

Called this morning. Hung up when the machine answered.

I love the way you put that. I will do the same when they call me back, and I assure you that they will. They have been calling me at least 3 times a day. I hate the way they waste our time, so I will also screw with them.

This is usually a scam.  They are calling to "verify" your company info for their FREE listing in the yellow pages.  They also record the conversation.  While you are there saying yes, yes, yes to verify that is your name and business and address.  Then you get a big bill on your phone bill.  When you call to deny the charges ... they play a recording where they took your yes yes yesses and put questions in front of them like "You are agreeing to pay $$$ for this."

Soooo .... it's kinda fun to take some time and screw with their head.  NEVER say the word yes.  NEVER.  I just repeat everything they say "Blah blah blah blah blah IS my address."  It frustrates the hell out of them and they will try and lead you into a yes word ... "YES your address is blah blah?"  It's hard not to say yes, but do it.  You can actually hear them getting frustrated.  One even told me I HAD to say YES.  I just told him I never say that word on the phone.  Period.  Then they will transfer you to a supervisor who will also try to get you to say the word yes.  Eventually they slam the phone down.  And I win.  LOL

I too have received 4-5 calls a day from this number. When I finally answered it, I got some guy with a thick Indian accent asking me to update my information in the yellow pages. I told him I don't have an ad in the YP, he told me that I do and he is calling to update that info. I again told him that I do not nor ever have and told him not to call here again. He then just hung up on me.

can we do something about whoever they are - they call at all hours and we are on the "do not call list" ? We are renting a house that was bought out of forecloser, but we have no credit issues, nor business.  this is truly a case of there out to be a law!

several calls in several days asking for phone number information etc for 'business listing' and something about 'yellow pages'.  likely a scam. told them to stop calling, they keep calling.

Got a call from them. They called to "update our business listing". When I informed them we don't have a business they just hung up on me. SCAM

Got a call from these guys agian today.  I think I got one from them friday morning also telling me my B of A debit card was suspended and to push 1 to connect with an agent.  BS because I don't have one.  An hour or so later got another call wanting to promote my business in their directory or something.   Looks like they are trying to get info on businesses

Called, but no one on the other end.  Likely one of the 'auto dial' idiots but who knows.
