Trying for 3 weeks to get them to stop calling.  They are calling my home number.

You know what else works? Let the pos run their mouth, get all the lies/info you can, then tell them if they or anyone in their "company" calls again or passes on your number, you'll blow their ****ing head off.

It seems to be quite effective and since the govt won't do anything to stop the harassment, it is up to us.

These phone calls are illegal.  They are resulting from one company that has sold your numbers out to a bunch of unscrupulous companies that are scam artists.

Don't bother calling them, you'll get ahold of someone who seems VERY nice, who says they will help you, and "Oh yes (sir/ma'am) that is illegal and we will do our best to take care of this problem" but they don't do anything about it, and the calls continue.

Go to the BBB website and file a complaint:

Go ahead and post your location on the next page, don't worry about putting your information there, the Better Business Bureau is a very reputable organization.

Next page, pick "Search By Phone" and enter 503-223-7747, then "next".

Select Telephone Management Corp and hit "Next"

On the next page, be sure to hit "Next" and NOT "Cancel"

The next page, pick all "No" for the different choices, provided you have not taken them to court yet.

Then the next page, enter your information.  Remember, it is important to get your information for the BBB to handle this case and get something done about this.  They are trustworthy.

The next page, Step 3, select "2331 SW 5th Ave Portland, OR Main Billing Complaint Mailing"

On the next page, pick "Customer Service Issues" and then "6-603 Innapropriate Behavior By Customer Service Personnel"

On the next page, go into great detail, describe how Telephone Management Corp has sold your phone number to fraudulent telemarketers, to autodialers, etc.  Explain that you are on the Do Not Call list (if you are) and also detail just how many calls you have recieved.

Explain that you want the company prosecuted for their behavior, that they do not deserve an A+ rating, that you will stand behind your complaint and that the company needs to pay for the illegal activities of those that they sell the numbers to.

PLEASE file the complaint.  Without complaints by good people like you there is nothing that will ever be done about these people and the phone calls will continue unchecked, they will NEVER stop.  Help bring them down!!!

Fighting Back

From what I understand, you would have to save the number and times they've called, and file a report with your state's attorney. Most have a form all ready for harassing phone calls, btw.

If you can see who is calling you, or if you recognize the incoming call as a unknown or offending caller, I heard if you simply answer the phone and repeatedly press the star key (like 20 times) their computer system will note your number as a "bad" number and kick it out of their data base/system.

I've tried it before on a couple numbers and it seems to work. The problem is, some telemarketing calls come in from a variety of numbers.

I rec'd several called from these losers, now their in my Verizon block list..end of story..

they keep calling me during the day as well as like 5-6 other numbers from out of state to my cell phone.

Usually goes like this:

"HEY! YOU WON A FREE SECURITY SYSTEM! PRESS 1 TO TALK TO A DUDE!"

*Press 1*

"HEY MAN THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST? CAN I ASK YOU SUM QUESTIONS?!"

I was actually wondering why am I am receiving this calls, I would like them to stop.

i see this is a new scam that has been running for less than 24 hours and gets 9 entries in here?

i got the same free wireless home security b***s*** and it showed as TOMORROW4EVER on the id..

At least several times a day I am getting calls from this number.  There is a recording stating that we have won a home security system.  I always hang up once it gets to that point but will try to talk to someone next time....which should be within an hour or two!

Keep getting calls from this number.  I thought I was on the no call list!!  Who do you report them to?

Got a call saying it was the irs and I owe back taxes then they say if you have a problem they can help cut your debts in half......they ask you to dial 2 to be removed from their data base. (it was a recording)  Also the caller id said tomorrow4ever.....they keep calling.  I hope by dialing the #2 they won't be able to charge calls to my phone # or something.  Grrr.....sick of calls like this and they are getting more frequent from weird numbers.

Got a call from this number, saying I was the winner of a free home security system. Problem is, I have one, and I'm also the owner of several firearms. Its a scam and I am on the do not call list.

Sounds like you're a business.

Unfortunately the National Do-Not-Call Registry does not apply to what they call "business-to-business" calls. This is pretty much saying businesses themselves have no protection under the DNC list.

All you can do is ask to be added to the company's own Do-Not-Call list. That will keep you off of their calling rotation, but it still means you'll get calls made to your number by other companies.

It's a pain, but until the FTC+FCC feel like offering businesses the same protection under the DNC list as they're offering people at home, there's nothing that can be done to stop the calls when you're a business.

Continue to receive calls; says Google Local Search Directory affiliate. This time, pressed one to "accept"/talk to agent and was transferred to Tanya.  I said we need to remove our numbers (there are several trunked/forwarded lines that continue to receive calls - even after opt-out registered on DO NOT CALL); she said abruptly and rudely "sure, no problem" and hung up very fast without discussion.
