So...I just had a phone call from 701-639-4876 and I flippt out on this guy. First he tells you nobody can help you and you will go to jail. I told him , I want to see that in writting cuz no Law Firm just calls you and sends the police after you. IDIOT!!! This guy got really loud and upset with me and told me I'll better get a lawyer and hung up. I called back and who ever picked up said " Law Firm" can I help you?.............REALLY!!!!

This is the second company trying to get the same amount what a bunch of scammers and saying they are contacting the attorney general

Just received a call can hardly make out what he is saying except now and if you don't call your done. they were both loud. Is there someone I can send the voicemail to. Called 3 times in a row. Didn't say who they were or what they were trying to collect.

Same deal....the same people call from other numbers.  On and on it goes.  I block the number on my cell phone and it will be a few weeks and then they are caling from somewhere else.  This time it was a lady and the call is threatening in nature.

Just called our office phone, looking for an employee at our work, and were threatening up. We've had this multiple times over the years, and just advised not to call, being the first guy to answer is a reserve police officer. I answered secondly advising that I knew nothing about it, but he was on phone with police, and the guy hung up. He didn't like that the first guy laughed at him and threatened to kick his a**.

Statistics g I owe a payday loan and will be arrested either at my home or work if I don't call in three hours with cash in hand and they'll tell me what to do then.

These damn foreigners using American names saying they are a law firm calling me at work telling me I owe them money or I'll be arrested...    get a job dirt bag!!!!!

These people have called my wife a couple times.   First time they called, left a voicemail.  Threatened legal action, something about a criminal law suit, legal action, cops at my house with an investigating team.  Had all my wife's personal information...s.s.#, address, etc...  They called back 2 days later.  My wife said she would like them to speak to her attorney, and handed me the phone.  In my deepest most threatening voice, I said, 'hello, who is this?'.  They hung up.  Then I dialed 701-639-4876 back on my cell & a man answered.  he said they were with maxim law firm.  I told him I was calling representing my client & gave her name.  He said she has a lawsuit against her.  I asked by who?  He could not answer me.  I then laughed, and said, 'who has a laswuit againt my client?'.  He got very irritated that I laughed at him, and hung up.  Now when I call back, all I get is a busy signal.  The key is to not be afraid of these cowards.  Act like you know what you are talking about & they run like scared children.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Agree!! Been getting the same types of phone calls, my home, my cell and at work. From this foreign speaking person saying at some law firm but doesn't disclose which one and I have some legal action brought against me which he doesn't care to explain either and that I must send him some outrageous amounts of money by the end of business day or I 'll have a warrant out for my arrest. It's pure b***s***!!!! I notified the police last time about 3 months ago but it's started up again.......Beware of this scam and don't send any money!!! Once I told him it was a scam and to quit bothering me, he abruptly hung up.....

These same people called Human Resourses at my job and when I called them back they told me I would be arrested and then I told them it was illegal to call my job they hung up on me. Check this out when I tried to call them back my call was blocked or I got a busy signal,  what a crock up bull.

Check this one out: the forgeigner called asking for my spouse and said he was from Social Security.  My caller ID (Call Control) rejected the call the first time they called and identified the number as from "Russia: fake or invalid number".  The same number came in as I reading the Call Control message and this time it notified me as coming from "North Dakota".  I did answer it just out of curiosity.  What a crock of BS.  It is so funny.  It really is.  If anyone falls for this stupid junk then you deserve to be swindeled out of your money.  Use common sense people.  Before you pay anyone money, RESEARCH the number!  RESEARCH the company.

Calling my cell phone daily and now work.  When you call back he answers "Law firm".  Now what legitimate law firm answers the phone like that and what ones actually say you will go to jail?????  First of all they would all know that is illegal to say if they were truly a law firm or debt collector.  

i had the same call  from a spanish speaking person, saying i owe payday loan and if not pay by western union before  6pm,or a  police will come to my job and arrest me, so i told them whole on  let me put my dad on the phone tell him to arrest me, he is the head cop on the atlanta ga. police force, next thing i heard the person hung up on me, and did not call me back. people its a scam DONT SEND NO MONEY
