Same as all others, no luck with reporting. I have a very loud referee whistle and as soon as someone comes on the line I blow it as hard as I can. That usually does the trick.

Showed up on caller ID as Visa Offer. We did not take the call. They left a message that they were able to reduce the rates on my Visa. I don't have a Visa. When I called back, I could press #1 so allegedly be taken off their calling list. They have called 4 times this week.

I just REC. this call on 1-27-2011 @ 4:33PM and it showed up on my caller I.D as ''IMPORTANT'' call and they did try to call me 3 times in a row also. I also will be reporting !!

This number showed up on my caller ID just a few minutes ago. (The ID showed the caller name as "Important Call" so I knew it was a scam and didn't answer it.) And when I didn't answer it, they called three more times, literally with less than 30 seconds between calls. I used to answer these calls, and then press 1 to be connected to someone but have only been met with a smart-a** comment if I inform them I am on the do not call list or ask to be removed from their mailing list. Now, when I talk to a "live operator," I say absolutely the most vulgar things. Since the do not call list is a joke, I feel this is my only way to fight back.

I just REC. this call on 1-27-2011 @ 4:33PM and it showed up on my caller I.D as ''IMPORTANT'' call and they did try to call me three times in a row I am going to call the local Police DEPT. to inform them of these types of calls I have had other calls like this in the past I always let the answering machine get it and then I Google the number before I take an unknown call

I have also been receiving calls from this number and others claiming to lower my interest rate to 6% on the answering machine. Usually shows "Caller Unknown" in the caller ID window on phone, but has shown "Visa Assist" on last couple of calls. I too, will be reporting them to the attorney general
not Michael 2011-01-30 19:12:49 Unknown
Sure. But you'll have to talk to them.
MFJ 2011-01-30 19:07:06 Unknown
CAN I GIVE THEM A FAKE ACCT # AND SCREW THEM UP WITH A FRAKE NAME?
NO MSG LFT

Same here as all the rest....When you don't answer they call right back 3 more times

Same story as the rest - pushing a deal to lower your interest rates on a credit card. On their second call, I waited until someone answered - when I asked the name of their company, she hung up.
I filed a complaint:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Caller id shows the caller as "Bismarck" - I'm surprised they didn't block it.

Call wanting to update the information on my credit card. I played along and spoke with" Amanda" who started asking me how much credit I had on my credit cards, and did I want a credit card with an interest rate below 6%. I said yes and she said in order to see if I qualified I had to give her the names and numbers on my cards. When I declined to do this, I was rudely hung up on. I *69 the number and this is what I got. I have been getting many calls regarding credit cards and though I am not sure if they all came from this one, something g is very wrong and I intend to file a complaint with the attorney general of my state.

I received a call from them as well but did not answer. I am listed on the DNC registry but they still call. If it is not a number I know, I will not answer. Most don't leave a message. Most legitimate companies will have a toll free 800 or 877 number. Every time they call, I report it to the DNC. Doesn't take much effort....

Your state's attorney general's office should make them cease immediately; but what for? They only close up, open up a new line and start all over again.

I got the same message, I would recommend reporting them to the Do Not Call Registry, that way if they continue to call after you ask them not to your can report it and file a complaint - i have had very good success using this method.

@Linda: Sounds like you've done some reporting to the DNC list. Tell us what happened? The DNC FAQ says the fine can be up to $16K.

"I keep reporting them." Who do you report them to?
Rich 2011-01-21 21:24:31 Telemarketer
Same as above. Caller ID: "IMPORTANT CALL" these A$$holes just never quit! This has been going on for years. I've tried reporting them to the phone company, FTC, DNC registry, as well as many other organizations to no avail.
Card Holders Services uses many different phone numbers from all over the country. Seems like the authorities should be able to track them down and prosecute them. What's wrong with this picture?

I don't want to receive calls from these phony credit card companies
Linda 2011-01-21 19:26:20 Unknown
We receive frequent calls from this "company." The caller ID says (get this!) "IMPORTANT CALL." "Stacy" gave me her so-called license number, which was 1988-5-BR4. I asked what state the license was from; she said it was a government license. I said, the federal government? She said yes, the government. I played along because I want to have enough info to report them to someone. Where's the punishment for making calls to those on the DNC list? I would like to know.
pnwmom 2011-01-21 19:13:56 Unknown
WOW,
I was on the phone and didn't recognize that number and it said important call, well I am not falling for that one...:) these companies must get some that do.
Aubrey Boyd 2011-01-21 16:35:38 Unknown
Did not pick up as msg on phone read IMPORTANT CALL I never pick up on something like this. Then I got on the net and keyed in the telephone number.....I guess I'm not the only one getting this call.
suzanne richards 2011-01-20 21:06:01 Unknown
we have been repeatedly called by this number and several tohers like it about credit cards. we are on the "do not call list." Please have this stopped.
Burns 2010-12-16 00:31:08 Unknown
This sounds like a scam. Do not give anyone who calls you out of the blue your credit card number, expiration date, and security code!!!!!
Earl P. 2010-12-15 23:05:31 Telemarketer
This is another phone number used by Card Holders Services and Rachel..You don't have a problem on your credit card, But they can save you money by cutting you interest rate..I hit #1 a lady came on and asked for my card number, Expiration date and security code..I told her I'm on the DNC list and I want them to stop calling..She told me that won't happen and then hung up on me. I get calls from this company for or five times per month always from a different phone number. I keep reporting them, but it does seem to help..This has been going on for several years now.
