Give you all a heads up -DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS !   You DO have caller ID, right?   If not then get it.   The Do Not Call list will not help you either, forget it.  It is a branch of the government and you know how well it works, right !?  These are scammers that are looking for viable, working numbers.  It is done by robot callers (computers) looking for good working numbers.   Usually you get no one to talk to until after you answer and press a number or two.  They will continue to call you once you answer the phone.   IF your answering machine picks it up, that also tells them it is a "working" number and they will continue to call you.  I turned mine off.   If they get no answer after several calls usually then take your number off and quit calling you.   You may also consider using your phone provider's service of "call blocking" if they DO persist.   Good luck out there.   I  figure if everyone stops answering these calls then eventually they will run out of people to harass.

Don't know where you are at Diva but I am just south of Atlanta and just got a call as well.  Computer was slow so I didn't get to tis page in time to answer it, I called back and it rang and rang.  I think I'll just block it!

I have caller Id and it did not even pick it up so glad I looked it up on the internet and found this info about it. Just a little more info for everyone...  I called back and my caller id said I was dialing Hazelton, NV.

my family feels the same, but the tactic works! they do stop calling & your # stops being passed as a target.

I work 3rd so calls during the day really aggravate me. Especially when it seems like the freaking No Call List has been sold to these companies to make money. Pisses me off so bad, I wish there were more that I could do. I'm about to be rid of my home phone line for good, but I need a damn fax line. Grrrrr

So now I have the entire 701 area code blocked. This number has called several times.

It is unbelievable how many calls a week I received. When talking to someone I tell them I'm on a non call list--they don't care. I block the number and it rolls over to another number from a different state---very maddening to say the least...

Calls to us by the drug-addicted "card services" scammers ARE illegal, but criminals don't obey laws, and so, their calls continue.

I usually like to mess with them. I keep asking just which company are they with and they will mumble and delay answers.  Finally, they realize I'm messing with and the disconnect.

call from 7017829520 robot call about credit cards and lower int rates. I just hang up on them and they keep calling from different numbers and different states. It should be illegal.

I have done the same to them many many times, It don't phase them. They keep calling.

These are robot calls, if some answers when it calls, it makes notation if a connection was made with a live voice, then it lets a live person know the best time of day to call your number. Usually a credit card or some other type scam going on.

I have received several calls from this number.  When I answer, no one is there.  We take care of my parents and this is a nuisance not only to me but to them also.  Please do something about these unwanted calls!  I want them stopped!

They called my number 8 times in a row, so I am positive it's a Robo-call.  Since my MR.NUMBER hung up on them every time.  

I just sit there and giggle.

got robocall from 701-782-9520 (North Dakota Area Code) caller ID said " UNKNOWN NAME " on Tuesday 12-03-13 @ 1104 AM.

Message had male voice Scott with "Account Services", and because of the outstanding way I have been paying my bills..............lower your interest...........press 1 now.
So I pressed 1 and a man said his name was Steven came on the line. He said the reason for the call is the "outstanding way I have been paying my bills. I told him "Thanks, And I have something outstanding for you". Gave him at full blast my "Raunchy Cussing/Swearing YouTube Rant." That guy bailed as quickly as the gal who called from a different number on Monday. The total call length of call was 127 seconds. He was gone way before that though.
Gotta Luv that "Raunchy Rant".

I didn't answer the number when it called 701-782-9520. when I called it back I got the recording that phone phone number I called is not in service to check the number and try again. I did a re-check and got the same answer.

They don't check because they want your credit card number!!  They won't ever lower your rate, in fact they would increase it by using your credit card for themselves.  99.9% of these telemarketer calls are to defraud you in some sort of way.  They all have their "stories" but in the end it a FRAUD game they are playing.

The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,    when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining!

Never heard of nomorobo.com before.  Checked it out, and it sound interesting!  Unfortunately Comcast doesn't subscribe to it, so I'll have to contact them.

I agree with you perfectly.  However, I like to spend some quality time with them.  I always say, "Please, don't hang up, I'm really interested.", then, I answer all their questions without providing any real information.  I make up fake credit card numbers, and when they get to the part where they ask me to hold while they check it all out, I hang up while the guy is off running the card numbers.  Ha! Ha!

being on the do not call list is a wast of time. I am on the list and telemarketers have told me the never check the do not call list.  I have also received several calls offering to lower my credit card interest rate, They are not a very knowledgable company, I don't carry a balance, so they are wasting their time and mine.

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card number to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

We got the call from freakin' Rachel last night wanting to lower our credit card rates AGAIN....  Great here comes the two week run of three times a day calls from that B%$&*
