Same here ,no message - just another person or company selling crap- or trying to scam. i have over 200 numbers saved on my phone that are scammers like this - the numbers change but the game is the same. -- it comes from center North Dakota

I've been getting these calls to my cell phone for over a year, and I don't have ANY debt. Every time they call from a different number, this time from 701-920-9939 which is someplace in North Dakota. The only name they give is the generic "Debt Services", which sounds more like a department in some other company.

This time the guy identifed himself as "Michael McDonald" and he said that his company was in Riverside, CA - and then he hung up. Usually the calls only last a bit longer, until I question why their "reputable' company falsifies caller ID. About one caller in ten continues past this point. No one has ever agreed to send anything to my PO box about their company and the program they are trying to sell... I wonder why 8-)

Be careful - I think this is a persistant phishing scam that is trying to steal your identity.

A quick update. After my earlier posts, I decided to get really aggressive with this fellow. I suspect he is buying a disposable cell phone and getting a number from sparsely populated place, like North Dakota for routing robo calls. He called after my last post and I spoke with him, I was nice to him in a way that I think spoke to him that I meant to hunt him down. I asked him to hold while I got a pen to write down information and he hung up. That's the last call I got from him, (knock on wood), in a month and a half.

Great job!  Now I know what's going on.  I've been harassed by these people for months.  I made the mistake of returning the call the very first time because I thought it might have been somebody I know.  That's when the cascade of never-ending calls began.  I turn my cell phone off for most of every day but I can't go on doing that forever.  I've logged many complaints on the do not call list but never get a response.  I'll do anything it takes to stop these thugs.  Thanks for your diligence and hard work.  Please keep going with it!!

I got a call from this number twice and I let it go to voicemail both times. So far they haven't tried again.

A man's voice says "this is a public service announcent .. the laws have changed .. we can eliminate your credit card debt" for the umpteenth time -- someone needs to play along and get connected to a real live company.

This phone is realy bothering every one , they do not answer when you say hello it's just silent, shame on you marketers you do not deserve any respect .

A recording says it is the "GOOGLE BUSINESS SEARCH DIRECTORY".

I just got a call from "Keith" trying to sell some Google service, when I told him we were unlisted and on DNC list, he started getting belligerant, I asked for a supervisor, he told me he was the supervisor and I could go "F" my mother and kill myself... I asked for the business name and address and he laughed and said "Yeah, like I'm going to do that, loser" I told him I'd find him and sue him for everything he has.  I have my attourney working on this so as soon as I know more, I'll post.

Ed -- it is also not a good idea to put your email address on any forum or blog etc online as people use programs to search the net to get email addresses to send spam out to them.  If you need to give out your email you can curtail this most always by spacing out the address like; i am an example @ nowhere . com

Humans can figure out what you mean where a computer can't.  Just an fyi so you don't start getting a ton of emails.

Simple fix for this kind of stuff. Sign up for a google voice number, and use it for ANY applications, memberships etc where you put your number down and hand it over to another company whether it be on paper or online. How does this help? Google voice will allow you to block ANY number...so yes, they'll change numbers and you'll get other calls, but at least eventually you're going to be able to block them all out. A pain? yes... Can you do anything else? no. It's sad...VERY sad, but you can report night and day about these guys calling, it won't change. Now... I certainly don't discourage you from reporting them, in fact, I think you should...we all should... but laws much change first and more people will need to raise a demand for this change, it just won't happen anytime soon.

If you have a droid or i-phone get an app called MR NUMBER call blocker.  You can then setup the system to immediately send those to voicemail where they never leave a voicemail.  You can see how called in the log but you don't get bothered.  I just got two calls from this number this morning and never knew about it till I looked at the log just now.

I received a phone from this number this morning 701-920-9939. I did not answer the phone.

I did the same thing!  Just a call from this number and since we do business with various vendors across the country, I cannot simply let the call go to voice mail.  I just hang up on them like they do to me:).  It's very annoying, but there's nothing I can really do to stop it, so I'll have a little fun with them in the mean time.

I received a call from this number today at my place of work.  I answered (we get legitimate calls from all over the country), but got no response - I wrote down the number and looked it up.  Not shocked that it's a scam.
I just wanted to suggest that every be very careful about what they say to these people - they record EVERYTHING, regardless of whether they tell you about it or not.  Once they have you recorded, they'll cut it up and reprocess it to make it look (sound) like you've said whatever they want you to say.
Report them to the Do Not Call list if you're on it (unfortunately, business lines can't be), report them to the Better Business Bureau, and report them to your state's attorney general.  Some states are fighting back, but some aren't.  Tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers about this stuff - otherwise, they're going to get spammed and scammed, too!  And, please, for the love of all things good, if you hear the word "verify," hang up, hang up, hang up!

They just called.. but hung up before the 3rd ring..  must of anticipated an answering machine. Good job on the spoof list. You guys and this website rocks.

i don't know who this is

somebody suggested they aren't really trying to sell home security or credit relief at all,
but to get people to sign up for a call tracing service. Doesn't work, of course, they still
spoof the caller ID.....
One of the sales people I talked with gave me a call back number of 877 906-2690. I got a very
indignant person who said they would NEVER do ANYTHING like make unsolicited calls.....
All I can suggest, is keep them talking as long as possible, waste THEIR time. And yours too,
just think of it as entertainment, LoL.

For over 6 months, I get a call every day at 5:45. I have pressed 2 to be removed from the call list. I have pressed 1 and asked to be removed. And every day the phone rings and every day I get angrier. Today I said LOUDLY that I wanted to be removed from the call list and the customer service rep said "You don't have to yell" and hung up on me!!!  AARRGGHHH... SO very angry!!! Any tips are appreciated.
