Called just now - wanted details about all the rooms and the suite.  Kept asking "what about the beds?"  After the 3rd time, I asked him what he meant? He wanted to know if the suite is available for tonight.  Said he was traveling from Ohio.

He was breathing heavily. After asking about availability for tonight, he didn't know what his plans were. I told him to call back when he knew what he wanted to do.  Had to repeat that 3 times and finally I had to terminate the conversation or it never would have ended.

I didn't recognize his voice as it had been over a month since his last call.  However, I had already decided I was not going to make a reservation for this dude - then after he hung up, I got the thought that is was the same guy who had bothered me years ago and then again this winter.   Obviously, I gave more information than I would have if I had known it was him to begin with.

I don't know if anything can be done....if he continues to harass, I will notify the phone company and see if the calls can be traced.

This man has called our B&B hundreds of times over the past year.  We do not have an overnight staff so our phones go into an automatic system where the caller can dial an extension.  This man dials random extensions until he reaches a room that is occupied.  After waking up our guests, he tells them that the wires are crossed and in order for him to make an outgoing call they need to leave their phones off the hook.  

Most guests just hang up on him but some had actually left it off the hook and could hear him breathing throughout the night.  It freaks them out because they think he is trying to listen in on whatever they may be doing in the middle of the night.

Our phone company looked into the caller's activity and was able to ensure us that he was calling from and land line that was no where near the Inn.  They also informed us that we are not the only place he was harassing, and interestingly he only harasses B&BS!!!

The company was able to block the number and as far as we know the calls have stopped.

I have received calls from this man about 5 times in the past month, always between 4 and 5 AM, and always requesting the same information about the inn (ie. room descriptions, rates, high detail about the room layout) about 3 or 4 times, not bothering to pay much attention to what I actually say. For the entire inn. His voice is low and breathy, and he constantly mades pseudo-sexual comments that make me quite uncomfortable, and he tries to slip in details about his personal life that are, quite frankly, not the sort of things one should discuss with a stranger that isn't on the other end of a 1-900 number. In the background I consistantly hear what sounds like a rhymthic wet slapping sound.

We have received several calls from this number.  We don't have caller ID, so we didn't know the number until recently.  We had several calls from early in the morning.  One of the calls was at 4:00 a.m., and lasted for 5 hours.  Not sure how that happened.  We called the telephone company and got a credit, and they said that they would investigate the guy.  He has had the same type of conversations with my wife at the Inn, as described above.

We have gotten three calls from this number. The number is located in Mesquite, Nevada. Details are exactly has been described by others on this site.  The caller speaks slowly, as if drunk or on drugs, and frequently pauses, so that the only thing to be heard is his breathing.  He asks for odd details about our inn and our room, and then repeats his questions after he has run out of things to ask about. He will only talk to our female owner, and has denied he has called in the past, when we know he has. Same voice, same number. Very creepy.

We also received a call from this guy. Asked for female owner by name.  Asked what our room rate and about our rooms. Did we have housekeepers. He said he had called before and the housekeeper answered and she thought she hung up the phone and didn't. She must have been there with her boyfriend and/or husband. Cause what he heard later was quite interesting.

Our housekeeper doesn't answer the phone.  The only ones are the owners.
 
When I said that all of our rooms had queen size mattresses, he wanted to know the make of the mattress.  He wanted to know more about the rooms and couldn't I tell him more. I told him he could see more on our website and I had to go see to guests.

Deep voice, like he was drunk and/or holding his nose. Very creepy.

We did a free phone search and found that it is a land line in Mesquite, Nevada. 702-346-6227  Rio Virgin Phone Company.

If he calls again, I'll either ask him how the weather is in Mesquite, Nevada or just hang up the phone.  I'll also report this to our B&B association so they can put out a bulletin on this guy.

Another call from this creepy voiced man - only this time I asked for his phone number and he gave me a number belonging to someone else.  He had tons of questions about the Loft Suite and Lydia's room - both of which are described in detail on my website.  He was looking at the website as we talked and continued to ask questions over and over...."What is the Loft Suite like?"  "Are the bedrooms adjoining?" (asked this 3 times) "What is Lydia's room like?"  "What are the other rooms on the floor like?"  "I'm trying to get a picture of how things are laid out?"

When I confronted him about sounding like the man who called me many times in the past with the same questions, he said, "Well, I don't know about that."  Didn't deny it.  I had to literally tell him I was terminating the call and he could call back when he was ready to make a reservation....he said, "I'm just trying to figure out what the rooms are like."  I told him , "Fine, when you know what you want to do, call me back."

Any potential guest who was a legitimate inquirer would have hung up on me by the end of the conversation because I was becoming increasingly impatient and almost rude.  This guy just kept asking questions.  

Must be off his meds again.

Received a call from this number just now (this would be call #4 or #5 in two weeks) - February 8, 2008 at 9:40.  Man asking about the Loft suite, and Lydia's room.  Same voice as prior caller.  Weird questions. "What's in the room? Tell me about the other room." when I tell him he has the same voice as the prior calls, he denies ever calling in the middle of the night

 He denied ever calling me before.  He said, "I don't do that."  He also said he was calling from Minnesota and was thinking about traveling through our area.  The area code of the phone number he is calling from is Nevada.  He might be on a cell phone but it doesn't sound like a cell phone.

I am almost 100% sure this is the same man who called me a few years ago for months on end - often in the middle of the night to ask strange questions about my B&B or ask to be connected to rooms in which there were no guests.

Call received from this number in the middle of the night - two times in the last week (once at 3 AM and the second time at 5 AM).  Caller asks to be put through to the Loft Suite or to Lydia's Room when there are no guests occupying those rooms.  When told that, caller wants details about the rooms.  

First time was told to call back in the daytime.  Caller called during daytime asking to be put through to Lydia's room - again when there were no guests there.

This morning the caller was told not to call during night hours.  I told him he sounds like a guy who used exactly the same words a few years ago.  Those calls lasted for almost a year and did not stop until I threatened police involvement.
