These people call me about twice per week.  Usually while I'm at work or having dinner.  I am on the do not call registry.  I am reluctant to email them to ask them to remove me from their list because I fear that they will spam my email too.  This company Groa, Inc. is harassing me.  I am furious to the point of feeling violent!!

My experiences with them:

The grant folks decided to bother me..frequently. On 01/16/08 I decided to bother them in return. I printed out a couple pages of their reviews from here and faxed it to them at (702) 446-5229 along with pretty specific instructions on removing us from their call list. I added a note that a copy was being faxed to the States Atty's office for Nevada. I faxed the pages to the Nevada S/A's office and said 'Just wanted to tell you about some problem children in your back yard'

Today I received a call from the Nevada BBB - and a complaint has been filed. Apparently these grant folks are real parasites and well-known to the Nevada BBB.

Anyway - I'm not one to hog all the fun so read on and call/write/fax to your hearts content. Phone lines go both ways !

We have two phone lines at this office address and they tied up both at once with this auto-dialer, which is definitely illegal. Option 2 allows you to opt out of the calling list, but it does give you any input as to if it recognized your press of the button.

Constantly calling us @ work, This is ridiculous, it would be one thing if someone was actually on the other end, but there is nothing.  Then when you call them back you have to make up an ext. number or you just keep getting their calls, well actually you still keep getting their calls.  I spoke to a live person once because I hit a few numbers that actually worked and who knows if they remove your number, they probably bother you more.

I receive calls from this # every day.  After MANY failed attempts to contact the company and stop these calls I have a better idea.  I looked up the home # for the president of this company on anywho.com. Greg Villegas 702-405-6459 I will be making a phone call to his house tonight.  Maybe then his company will stop calling my office and hanging up on me 10 times a day.

I am sick of recorded telemarketing calls to my company. This is like a form of spam. I should not be on any lists for grants, hopefully they will shut these idots down.

at the end of the call you can press 2 to get your number removed. Or, you may be able to press 2 during the call to remove your number.  Anyway, it did not give a confirmation, it just went dead when I pressed 2.

Received a call from 702-430-4135. The phone rang once, so I dialed *69 and it was a recording for the grant people.  If you call 866-472-6885 and press 1, for existing account, you actually talk to a real person.  I told them I was on the do not call list and never call again.  Hope this helps!

Received call answered and no reply.  I have previously reported these people to "Do Not Call List" and advised of violation.

I received my first call from these people within about 3 1/2 hours of placing my first ever e-mail to a US Congressman, Kenneth Salazar a Democratic Senator from Colorado.  In the e-mail, I stated that I was very disappointed with his support of illegal immigration and that I felt betrayed on his decision to support illegal immigration at the expense of US Citizens.  Next time I send a note to a Senator, I will not share my phone number and primary e-mail address.  I made a big mistake in giving out my primary contact information.  This is probably a coincidence, but it could be backlash.  I don't trust any of our politicians, nor their staffs.

Yes, the grant people. One of the more annoying automated calls we get here each day. Isn't there a way to remove these people from society? They could live on their own island and try to sell worthless crap to each other all day. They would live on a diet of feces and produce more of their kind via in-breeding.

I have left my name and number that I would like them to call me back about obtaining grants. Maybe not a good idea, but since they call me 2 or 3 times per week and their irritating automated message ends up on my voicemail constantly, I am hoping that I can mess with them when they do call back...I'll post how it turns out!

These rude & extremely callous scumbags, the "GRANT PEOPLE," call numerous times each week; no way to get off call list; no way to leave a message since "mailbox is full"... of pissed off people, no doubt! Try calling this 800 toll free number: 1-866-974-9357. Maybe the parent company....may not. I'll be calling the attorney general for Nevada to file a complaint!

They don't give you an option to not be on their calling list.

Thanks Becky Mack!  I actually called 877-472-6814 and spoke with someone named Josephine.  She was with Small Business Funding.  I asked if they were related to The Grant People.  She wouldn't admit a connection, but it was clear in our conversation that they are all connected.  She said that they DO "scrub" the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY every week so if you register on that list, they won't call (hmm, we'll see).  She said that it will take one week to be removed from the list.  This was the most I've been helped.  Good luck everyone.

Their automated system is calling us almost daily.  If you press 2 to be removed, it doesn't work.  If you wait to speak with a rep, it doesn't work.  You get a recording that says "extension busy, pls try again later" or "the grant people, new client services", with no way to leave a message.  So I don't get it. Why set up this number and a website and have a "business" when you can't even speak to anyone?!  What's the point?!  I wanted to pretend to be interested in their product or service so I can actually get a LIVE person on the phone, but it didn't work.  No way to do it.  I've tried putting our numbers on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and it doesn't work.  That's mostly for telemarketers targeting residential numbers.  I've tried sending an email to support@thegrantpeople.com several times, it doesn't work.  I've tried calling 1-866-472-6885, it doesn't work.  You can't leave a message or speak to anyone.  It's very frustrating.  I've tried calling Verizon cust svc and they told me to contact the Unlawful Call Solution Center, but that center is designed for unlawful calls only.  This SHOULD be considered unlawful and businesses should be protected too!!!!  They told me to call the Federal Communication Center at 1-888-225-5322.  That's my next move.

Waited until I answered then hung up how humiliating! I called back and it is totally automated with no one you could talk to.Very unprofessional and irritating!!

Have received several calls from this number. They just hang up. I will file an FCC report.

11 January (1935) and 14 January (1001) 2008  got calls from these folks at home. Then 14 January 2008 (1410) I got one on my cell! Calls were prerecorded solicitations.

I filed and FCC Form 1008. And yes, both numbers are on the Do Not Call.

This number called at my business when I answered they hung up.  Number was on caller ID

I got one of these "grant available for business calls" yesterday afternoon just before closing time. It was the pre-recorded message. I listened to the the whole thing hoping for a live person. At the end of the message came "Press 1 for a representative, or press 2 to be removed from the calling list". I pressed 2 and it quickly disconnected.
