same thing i got only a different number 3016586578 i think the number is from washington looked number up,i place ad criags list with a picture used desktop, craig's ad in northwest suburbs chicago il, say's interested in my sale in ad and gives me same web site, asks if this will work for me. i am never going to get a real serious person for my sale cause this is such s***,when just trying to sell something, i give up on thease ad's will go back to the old fashion way to sell put ad in paper. cause alot of freak's out there to cause problems for others.

I received a text from my want ad on Craigslist and was told to go to pick soft.net it said my phone could not access it and go to my PC thank God it didn't work and seen all the info everyone has left thank you all for the info it is indeed a scam. some people must have a lot of time on their hands trying to ruin other people's lives mean people suck it said the same thing much like the rest of yours if I wanted it was mine I'm in Virginia I'll look the area code up and it came from Kentucky. I even tried calling it and it's not even a real phone number so I have no clue, done it but however this is the new number they're trying to use so please beware

Got a reply at 7 am this morning from a number that says its a landline in Maryland when i did a reverse check as it wasn't local for craigslist area i am in. Also tried to view with droid and said i couldn't view it not compatible use a desk top. I decided then to do a search on it and found this site. Here's what came on my phone..

I received a response to a Craig's List ad from this number. The text asked if I would "trade for this?". and left a URL address to pic-soft.net with a photo ID# 699BTX. I attempted, by my phone, to get on the website and view the picture only to see that the site said that this program was not compatible with the current device, and that I needed to be on a laptop or PC. There was still a place to enter the photo ID which I did, and it took me to a page where there were obviously pictures but still saying that this program was not compatible with the device I was using. I returned a text to the number saying that I couldn't see the pictures and if there was a different way to send the picture. I also asked, "what is it anyway?" and NEVER received a response. Later, I attempted to see what it was on my home laptop and was directed to a site saying that I needed to download picsoft. My gut was telling me otherwise; thus, I looked up picsoft and found this site where other people had similar experiences but from different numbers. I found that some people downloaded the program only to discover it's a virus. I wouldn't know if it is or not since I never downloaded it, but I wouldn't doubt it since the person or bot never responded back to my last text. BTW My number on CL was not numerically listed (I spelled the numbers out) so either someone is manually dialing or a there's a program that can literally read to decipher phone numbers from actual text writing.

Just received the same text.."Will you trade for this" with a pic-soft.net address and a photo ID.  from number 480-436-8082.  Just figured it was a scam.  People have too much time on their hands.  LOL

Im glad my phone said it wasent compatible, I looked it up on my laptop but I did not download anything. It took me to some gaming website.

They contain Trojan/hijack spyware attachments come with it that get on your browser and steal your personal info.

Do not install anything.

You should do a factory reset and full antivirus scan after.

Same as all you other posters;  i have an ad for an item i want on craigslist, so last night at 11pm, i get a text that says he has one just like "this" and sends a link.  i clicked on it, but it wouldn't open, thank goodness.
