I just received a call from this number about a Medical Alert System. They said it was prepaid, including delivery, and they wanted to schedule an appointment to install the system. It was plausible because my son and I had recently discussed getting this service and it's close to Mother's day, but he wasn't home when they called. When I said I'd have to check with my son, the call disconnected. What a rotten scam.

Sandy is on the right track, also file a claim with the FTC. A lot of these calls are not legit, rather scams.

The BBB will do nothing. Contact the Attorney Generals Office in Carson City, NV. His name is John McGlemery... His e-mail is "jmclamery@ag.nv.gov" or look up the State of Nevada on the internet and click on Attorney General to get a form. I did that after getting a call from Vision Telecom in Las Vegas. Turns out the call was originating from Pakistan and was spoofed.

I received the same recorded message as mike, me and rl. However, I was so mad that I actually talked to a "Sixtel, LLC" rep and I told him that I did not order this alert system and that I didn't want it. Also, that I don't care if it was already paid for (including shipping) and that if it was delivered to me, I would refuse delivery and send it back. Then I said I would report this fraudulent call to the Las Vegas BBB. The rep said nothing except that he would take my number off the list. Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if I had said OK to sending it, they would have given me free service for a week or two and then would hit me with a large monthly bill. The BBB rep said that never give an OK or Yes to these types of offers 'cause once you do, you're their customer. Their favorite contacts are seniors, of course... But not THIS 73-YEAR-OLD!!!

recorded message saying I have a medical alert (I've fallen and can't get up) system waiting for me, completely free and postage paid for. Did not order one and do not need one, some kind of scam!
