These guys just called in and while I was speaking with them came to this site to check it out. Saw they were bogus, asked about their affiliation with ATT, they said they were representatives, and when I asked for the name of their company, they hung up.

They are not with AT & T, even though they say they are. I called AT&T to ask about it. I was told that they can say they are with AT&T if they are an authorized reseller of AT&T services & plans. But that doesn't mean they are legit. If you agree to anything & are recorded they will change your service provider.

We have had the same experience! Can you tell me what steps you took to alleviate this criminal activity (my name was forged).

Claimed to be AT&T, explained my current mutliline plan was phasing out and DSL will be included with all plans. Since I have been a customer since 1986, we would not have to pay the additional 49.95 if I sign a fax. In fact the ywere going to give me free DSL and reduce my ATT vcosts by 25%! They wanted to "RECORD", third party verify, my name. Note to the wise....NEVER, NEVER, let anyone record you saying your name, position, address, or phone number~!!
