Another one of those HOAX warranty messages left on voicemail after I refused to answer - message says if you want your number put on the do not call list to leave a message with them, which is just another way of phishing/confirming your number and adding it to more lists, so don't bother doing that. These entities call and try to trick you into extending or buying warranties you don't have on products you don't have, just more phishing bull. This one from a paging phone - what, are they calling from an airport courtesy phone or something?

Reporting the number to the Do Not Call List won't do any good...they have the ability to make the call appear from ANY number they want. I once got a call from 555-123-4567...and we all know that 555 is not a valid area code.

If it's outside my area code, I just pick up the receiver and hang it back up...

Got a call & VM from 702-520-1193 on my cell phone. Like everyone else here, I asked to be removed from their list. Since they didn't remove me, I've been calling their toll free number at 888-290-9711 and leaving rambling messages. Keep in mind, _they_ have to pay for any calls to their toll free number! So just tie up their lines and make 'em spend money! That's my suggestion!

Keep getting calls on my husband's cell.  He only uses it for emergencies, and they always call around 5:00 when he's driving - scares the crap out of him.  Can't use a cell & drive in our state.  He drives a 1992 Toyota Pickup with almost 200,000 miles.  Maybe 20/20 will pick up on this!

I may have found out why these calls go from your home numbers to your cel phones. If you have a Grand Central ID then the calls are forwarded automatically through them. Not surprising. Why else would Google do something for free?

Unknown caller with this same number to my 10 year old daughter's emergency phone! If it has anything to do with a vehicle warranty I am going to scream!!! We have been getting calls like that on our regular cell phones since we bought our van last summer for which we already bought the extended warranty and gap warranty through the dealership! Isn't there a way to make it stop? We are registered with Do Not Call list already.

Calls to my cell phone periodically from this number. I answered once and a car warranty recording. My number is listed on the do not call list.

This call was for my car saying the warranty will expire soon.When I asked for what car they did not know what kind of cars I have.
This car warranty is A SCAM. DO NOT give them any information.

These are the same people who's been calling everyday about a car warranty.  I don't have a car!!  They use different ID everytime but it's the same recording.

They forge the caller ID and it usually always list a disconnected number.

The Scam goes like this.

They will use a dialer to call numbers including Businesses, Homes, and Cell Phones and a pre-recorded message will come on the phone stating that your warranty is expired or set to expire and to press 1 to speak to an agent. You press one and they ask you "Can I Have your Customer Number". Of course you don't have one (and they know this) so they ask you the make and model of your car and name so they can "look it up". Once you give them this information (which can be totally bogus), they act like they just pulled up your account. They will then try and sell you a 2 or 3 year warranty for your car for $2,500 or more. They will usually try and get you to pay a larger fee to get it started which will be $400+

Sometimes the pre-recorded messages changes and how the answer the phone changes but the scam is the same.

They do not honor the Do Not Call Registry and are also breaking the law by using a pre-recorded message to Cell Phone Users. More info at

i'm listed on 'do not call', it call offering money lender, when i ask to remove me, they hang up

they just f****n called my cell phone for the 4895739683 time. It's so annoying and I'm sick of them leaving me messages about my car warranty running out.

This number (702-520-1193) keeps calling my office on our third line. The first hundred times it was about the warranty on my car running out, the receptionist always waits on the line and tells them not to call here and that we are on the do not call list, at which time they hang up. Well today we got a call from them and this time the recording says that we qualify for our mortgage to be refinanced.  I hit 1 to talk to a customer service person, and asked them for their information so that I can send them a cease and desist letter, bimbo on the on the other line said she did not know what I was talking about, I informed her that they had reached and attorney's office and they were on the line with one right now, she promptly hung up on me. Calling the # back only gets us a recording.

I keep getting calls from this number and others like it. So now, I only answer calls I recognize.

Numerous calls from different numbers. They won't listen and they won't stop. These people are scumbags. Go to www.fcc.gov and file a complaint. If we can set the FCC on them maybe that will get rid of them once and for all.

Just got a call from the same phone (1193) and they kept transferring me to others to get more info about me.  http://www.oneautowarranty.com is the company they represent...they tried the hard close multiple times..but would not email me or give me a number to call back.

Warranty Division.  Offers extended car warranties.  Only about the millionth call from them and the few times I get though ( Press 1) and get a live person, when I ask them to remove my number they hang up

Okay I just got a phone call from NEVADA CALL 702-520-1193 ! They hung up and I waited and called them back. Stupid recording about taking my phone # off of their list ! Ya, ok ! Didn't leave message. I have been getting a few of the same type of calls in the past few months. The phone company said there is nothing they can do ! Hey Brad in Seattle- I WILL TRY CALLING GLOBAL CROSSINGS ! If it continues, I will try my P.I. !

I have no idea how they got my cell phone number.  I too am on the do not call list -- registered the number the same day it was issued to me.  These guys are slick.  I have received several calls and have taken it as my mission to "play along" and waste their time.  I've had a few great conversations -- halted only when I informed them to TAKE ME OFF THEIR PHONE LIST.  Unfortunately it hasn't worked yet.

These People keeping calling.  I have a BRAND NEW car.  Obviously I do not need their "continued warranty".  I have an unlisted number and I'm on the National "Do not call" list.  Why am I receiving these calls!

Today, a new voice (female) calling about my car warrantee running out (which it did years ago). Before today, have gotten several other calls with the same message but a male voice. If you hit the prompt they mention to be remove from the list, the call abruptly ends. SO SHADY. Number on my phone read 702-520-1193. I called it back and there's a message that (slowly) comes on saying you can enter your number to be removed from their list. but i'm concerned it's a way for them to further validate the number...

FYI all calls originate on a carrier network and are passed on to other carriers whom have NO IDEA of what kind of traffic is encapsulated in the packets/frames handed off to them, Don't blame the long haul carrier or the destination local exchange carrier, blame the local exchange carrier on the "originating end". GLOBAL CROSSINGS is to blame for providing local exchange service (actually competitive local exchange carrier or CLEC) in areas usually covered by large well known telco's who are not interested in originating solicitation "type" of calls.
If you want to speak out, CALL GLOBAL CROSSINGS, let them know exactly what you think... Call THEM at 206-577-0700 24x7 and if your a Business Customer perhaps using their conference bridge(s) or other services, Then You are supporting their Telemarketing mission as well, think about it. this # called and a message played saying that my warranty on my car was almost up. I hung up because i just leased a new car a month ago. The same company called my work Phone (!) I waited for an operator who asked for the make and model of my car, when I responded she hung up.

This number has been calling my home and my cell.  When they just called my cell, I asked them how they got my # since it has been on the do not call list for 8 months now and the man hung up on my.  Guess that goes to show you it's a scam.
