Unneccassary solicitation about interesting credit card interest rate in existing credit card. Seems outright scam

Just happened to me - 702 is a local area code for me so I did not think anything of it, until I answered. A couple minutes later they called again, but from a slight different number.

I'm sure its some solicitation calling numbers to verify.

Same thing here. "Sorry, my mistake" My guess is that they are checking for a fax tone so that they can late send/sell faxes.

Answers with a recording saying "I'm sorry, I dialed wrong." Getting real sick of these calls, obviously phishing to validate phone number for telemarketers. Creepy and annoying. Does sometimes re-call two minutes later

Answered, recorded woman's voice says, "sorry, my mistake" and hangs up.

It wouldn't take the call but it is tying up the phone line and know my fax it set to keep trying for 30 minutes and even funnier my fax line won't diconnect either. ROFL!

I am going to see if I can fax something to that number and if it works I'll fax them every day 20-30 times a day maybe that will help a couple of people get some relief!

These calls come constantly throughout the day...They never leave a message...It is a telemarketer and we are on the do not clal list..

When I asked who this company was, the lady told me to take that tone in my voice and smoke it in my pipe.

they are idiot telemarketers who have disregarded the federal do not call list. they will not provide the real name of their company. they say it's client services in orlando.

Phone rings, we answer, they hang up...  JERKS!

I have my phone on call forwarding to the same number.  I will only get the call once.

There was no one there when I picked it up.  It than called back in 2 mins. and ticked off my fax machine.

Same thing as "business owner" of 8/11 (they must be busy making mistakes today).

COMPUTER VOICE SAYS "SORRY MY MISTAKE" AND HANGS UP

Fear factor in this one. Warning to call back or something "BAAAAD" will happen to a credit card account. All in a voice recording to no one specifically.

Called me at 7 pm and said "sorry, my fault" and hung up.  I returned call to answering machine that stated; "we're sorry if we called you".  Guess they do it a lot to have that recording.

Same thing, a machine answers and says "sorry about that" and hangs up.  What gives?  How can that benefit anyone?  Can someone with more savvy follow the money and see how someone might be benefiting?

they called today at 5:02 pm and 5:04 pm.  As I sit here writing this a problem solver comes on about companys repeatedly calling and it being scams. LOL what a coincidence.  Now I'll be sure to watch that.  Thanks KIROTV in Seattle! I'll be watching you today!

I thought it was rom yellow book trying to justify the call volume they sold me

8:15 at night calls business number, answer and female recorded voice says: "sorry about that, my mistake"... I think its looking for fax machines. Have received many calls like this.

No clue about it, it probably left a message, we get telemarketer messages all the time.

I recieve calls from "heather" at account services to lower my interest rates on my "existing account"
I try to talk to a real person, but they hang up as soon as the know I am uninterested, or ask to be taken off the calling list.

When I call the number they claim that they made a mistake and they only purchase business numbers, which is obviously b***s***.

If you call the nujmber back, it immediately allows you to remove your number from the call list by pressing 1.
