This guy called my Mom's house in Sc today!  I am SO angry.  I actually called the police but they don't follow up on this sort of thing.  I hung up fortunately after he said it would be "sixty nine."   If my husband wasn't there, I was about to give the credit card number because I thought maybe we pay afterwards.  I am just so irate that someone does something disgusting like this.

This is a SCAM! This man Greg called me and said that our recent marriage had been recorded, which meant that our marriage certificate could now be sent to us. He had all of our information, everything. He was very nice and informative and said that he could start the process of sending everything to us asap. I gave my credit card information and gave me a confirmation number. He charged my card right away. As soon as I got off the phone i had a bad feeling and called the credit card company. He had already charged my card $130. I called this man back, and can only leave messages on his phone. It is a complete scam and I am sad that I fell for it in my excitement to have our official documents sent to us to register our marriage upon return to Brazil. He is a complete piece of scum that needs to be stopped! I have filed a tip with the FBI and with the other sites listed above by Tamianth. I will be looking into other options for filing complaints and trying to catch this man who preys on newlyweds. What a scumbag.

Called and I fell for it.  Luckily, my cc did not and flagged it right away.  Cancelled card and felt really stupid for falling for this. Same as everyone else:  recently married in Vegas, getting us our license, charging $69.  Thank goodness my cc company never paid this charge!

Individual Googled my parents home number and called them leaving a message. My mom got ahold of me and relayed the message with the phone number. I called the number back and Greg, claiming to be from Recorded Document Services, confirmed all my information and fradulauntly charged my card $69.

Just received this call.  Quickly realized my mistake and instantly called the bank.  The charges were already on my card.  Cancelled my card and hope no one else makes the same mistake.  What a corrupt piece of  *hit this man must be.  
Obviously someone at the marriage licence bureau must be in cahoots with him.

be aware of 702 546-9515 calling to send you your marriage documents name is Greg stating from vital records sending your licence immediately giving you a conformation number paper you will receive is pink.  I did much calling, vital records have had their licence provoked,  I have called from secretary of state, attorney general marriage records I cancelled my visa he charged 69.00 taking 74.70 on my visa, if anyone has more information please share lets shut him down.  I had enough out of people who don't work legally and take advantage of others. I was not smart but he caught me off guard.

Got a call on my home phone from a "John" from vital records... After giving my info & requesting 3 copies of my marriage certificate (which he then said was $30 a piece & he was from "Document Retrieval Services" at this point), I hung up & realized it was way too much & I never gave my home phone to anyone (I don't even know it myself yet!). I called the number back & it said it was for "Recorded Document Services".  The next day I received a letter from the REAL "Document Retrieval Services" requesting my info if I would like them to send me copies... I called them quite upset & found out everything everyone here is saying is only a small group of us. The company I got the letter from has piles of complaints & files on this man. His name is GREGORY CLOUSE. I called the consumer affairs board to complain, filed a fraud dispute with my bank, had my card cancelled. The man had charged my card $129.00!! I got 1 cert in the mail from his P.O. Box, although no one can confirm if it is real. Hope someone reads all the before they give him anything in the future. First time I got had & boy do I feel stupid! BTW, he usually says his name is John & the name of his supposed company changes frequently.

He called my dad today and said he was with Vital Records in Vegas and needed to confirm some information.  (I thought it was weird that he called my dad and not me.)  I gave out my card number but then quickly realized it was a scam and cancelled it within a few minutes.  The charge for $69 was already on my card but the bank was able to cancel it.  I also asked for a new card with a new number from the bank just to be on the safe side.  I'm glad I read these posts which confirmed my suspicions.

Called us today - My husband gave out our card number - luckily I had him call the bank asap and had him cancel it!

I got the same call, they called themselves Vital records. We were warned by our minister about these scams.

I talked to License Bureau today.  She said this guy/company may be or may not be a legit company. But what they do is once the license has been recorded they take our address from the information that has been recorded and find our phone number that goes with our address thru 411......again we never gave the license bureau our phone numbers, so I knew something was up.  She said if their calling us then our license actually is ready.  But if we go through him (who ever they are) we are going to pay a lot more for a copy than we would if we go through the proper channels and get it from the marriage bureau, and even then we may not get our copy, but they get our money.  Scam!!

This is a scam. Targets ppl who get married in vegas. There are threads already relating to this guy but has changed his number
