Caller says he is associated with Publishers Clearing House and I have failed to make arrangements to claim my certified check and Mercedes Benz.  This is a scam folks!  I have NEVER entered a PCH contest. The call came from an 876-580-9643, which is from Jamaica. It then tells you to call this number in Nevada.

Received a call saying we had won through a walmart sweeptakes affiliated with Bank of America.  We won a 2012 Mercedes SLR Roadster convertible, $35,000.00  in cash, and checks totaling $385,000.00 and it would be delivered today.  The man said his name was Lex Diamond of Bank of America at 702-560-3020, 1602 Hewitt Ave. Everett, D.C.   He then explained that we had to get a Green Dot card from Walmart for $495 (Title transfer fees etc) and that we would not need to give any information from that card to "Register", but at the time of delivery we would give this card to the reps.  Well were not stupid and did a couple of simple google searches where we found that this absolutely was a scam. The phone no, supposedly was D.C., NO its in LAS VEGAS!! An MCI Account in fact. The man called again and was very convincing but ended up asking for the receipt no. from the card purchase.  When I told him I had gotten the card to see what he'd say. The receipt number on those cards IS THE CARD number and can be immediately accessed.  The man tried to argue and convince us and then ultimately hung up.  BEWARE!! A little research, very little saved us being scammed for $495.  This man had all the right answers, never asked for a S.S. # or Bank Account #.  Note to self -  If it sounds to good to be true, it usually IS!
