We can help you with this situation. Go to http://www.westoptelemarketers.com/ and fill out the form. Its free and it works and more often then not we reach a settlement with the telemarketers and you receive a payment from them! but we always get them to stop calling.

I entered the car raffle at galleria mall and they called me 9 days later, saying that I won't a 3-day free trip. The company said they were called resort-stay-international. They never answered me nor my messages for more information. I really want to contact this number#

After reading the above post I know exactly how they got my number. We have season tickets for the Las Vegas Wranglers and we did the little slot machine thing 1st period intermission and it was for the cosmopolitan casino jockey club. Will be blocking this number from my phone.

Sometime ago I was in a pizzeria with my friend to get a quick bite to eat. As I was waiting for my pizza I noticed a "sweepstakes" box in the corner for a $2,000 vacation package, so I hastily decided to fill an entry form out and place it in the box.

I had totally forgotten about it until a few days ago when I received a call. The man on the other end of the line was very energetic and told me that I had "won" the sweepstakes. Woohoo! I was stoked but I still had my guard up because I receive calls routinely from telemarketers saying that I "won" a cruise or something. But he mentioned the entry form that I filled-out so I felt that it might actually be legit.

He told me that all I would have to do to receive the prize was to attend a 2 hour seminar at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. I started to become even more skeptical. He also mentioned that I would just have to "flash" a major credit card. Okay?? That seems a little fishy. There were 5 trips to choose from, which he briefly described on the phone. One was a vacation to Cancun. Then there was a cruise, or "free" round-trip airfare to anywhere in the continental US, and even a "bonus" trip to Hawaii.

Due to my skepticism, I Googled the number and the company, and of course came across all sorts of negative reviews. The bubble of enthusiasm I had quickly deflated. I turned to my Face Book friends for guidance and posted a short status update as to what just happened. The responses were mixed, but I had 2 friends who suggested that I should give it a try -- one of which used to work for a timeshare place and he reassured me that I did indeed "win". LOL

I ended up going to the Jockey Club the next day to suffer their sales pitch and then claim my "prize". I made it to the second floor and walked through some double-doors and into a small reception area. There were 5 employees lolly-gagging behind the counter and I told them why I was there. They were rude from the get-go, whispering in each others ears right in front of me.

After checking in they handed me a small form to fill-out and sent me into a waiting room. Then a small Indian man came and introduced himself to me and guided me to this lunch-room setting with balloons on all of the chairs. It was very loud with sales people making their pitch to unsuspecting victims. I could hardly hear a word my little Indian salesman was saying due to the noise-- his accent made it even worse. I told him right off the bat that I knew they were ruthless hustlers, that I had read the reviews and was only there to claim my "prize". He reassured me that I would receive "what was promised to me" if I just go along with the pitch.

My little Indian sales man talked to me for about 30 minutes at the vociferous lunch room and we talked about where I like to go on vacation, how long I usually go, how frequently and how much I probably spend. Blah, blah, blah. Then he led me into a room with a TV mounted on the wall. There was a brief introduction from an enthusiastic speaker and then we watched short video explaining how fabulous owning a timeshare was.

I was then shuffled to a guided tour of some model rooms by my little Indian salesman. We walked down a long narrow hall and I couldn't help but notice the dingy carpet with stains all over it as if a herd of elephants had camped-out on it for a month.  He showed me two rooms which were identically similar except one had an extra bedroom. It was your basic studio apartment -- furnished with a small kitchenette.

After that, we went back down to another room where he continued his sales-pitch. Then he showed me how to use the web-site (LOL). After all of that he had a "manager" come over. I jokingly said mentioned that now I'm getting "double-teamed". They showed me something I could buy for $25,000. However, I only needed to make a deposit and then I could make monthly installments. I still wasn't quite sure what the hell it was that they were trying to sell me. (I think timeshares make a pretty ridiculous "investment".) I told the guy that I wasn't going to buy anything. He immediately stamped a piece of paper and walked away without saying a word. They seem to be really nice people when they're trying to sell you something, until you make it clear that you're not interested -- just like used car salesmen.

So what about my "prize"? After all, that was the whole reason for going to that silly lamb slaughter house in the first place. So I get ushered over to another table where I meet with a "customer relations" woman. I explain to her that I want my "prize". She then explains to me that it's a marketing department that makes those telemarketing calls and the sales department has nothing to do with their tactics. She then tried to sell me something again. Go figure. She said that they actually sell more of those packages than anything else. I said no, and that I just want my free "prize". She then left and came back with a piece of paper, some coupons and a $100 Restaurant.com dining card. The paper -- or certificate as they called it -- showed that I could choose from 5 separate vacation packages. Woohoo, finally, I'm going on my free vacation! Not so fast.

In order to get the "free" vacation you have to fill-out, check-off the boxes that say you agree to the terms and conditions, sign it and mail it somewhere. After I got home I read the fine print. The Cancun vacation seemed like the best option. The only caveat is that you have to pay a $40 "tax deposit" and you have to be married. Sucks for me since I'm not "married". Oh well, on to the next option. Oh wow! A "free" cruise to the Bahamas. That sounds like fun! You only have to pay $200 per person (2 max) for "processing fees" and $123 per person "departure tax". What the hell happened to "free"? %@#$!!!!!  I did a little more research on the cruise and I went to Carnival's website to compare the costs of the "free" trip I won to the retail costs. As it turns out . . . the $#%^&%# "free" cruise costs more that the retail price of $149. WTF?

The same was true with all of the other options. Each one simply substituted a "fee" for the actual cost of the airfare, cruise, ect. It's pretty much like saying that you won your dream home: a 7,000 sqft mansion on Malibu, all you have to do is pay the 50 million dollar "processing fee".

My take-away from the experience? Telemarketers will go to any lengths to fool people into signing on the dotted line -- even to the point to convince gullible people into paying for something while they simultaneously think it's free (just like Obamacare!). They will completely reinvent the word "free". In this case, it was completely worse than the classic "buy-one-get-one-free" tactic when you're really only getting two for 50% off.

If these people call you, I suggest you just ignore/block them. Unless of course you are willing to suffer their deceptive tactics listen to their sales pitch. And then there is the $100 dining card, but your choices are limited to the restaurants listed on Restaurant.com. Or if you are genuinely interested in buying a timeshare. However, I suggest investing your hard-earned money elsewhere instead of tying it up in this ruthless company.

I know this is late, but I was just looking through posts that I made and I saw your response. Just wanted to say thanks and I will definitely be doing this. They were so annoying and rude. To provide an update, the woman who kept calling me, Marna, hung up on me when I asked her to stop calling because it was excessive. I didn't sound angry; I just mentioned how many times they called in a certain time frame and she hung up on me mid-sentence. On the plus side, I haven't heard from them again.

I got a call from these people (Resorts Stay International) telling me I won a $2000 vacation. Then asked if my fiancee and I were already married or living together I told her "no". She said oh.. well that's no big deal. Then asked if we had a credit card and "we don't want no money or nothing like that" (the lack of grammar alerted me further). I told her we had one, then she went on to prepare to tell me about how to get my vacation. I told her I was at work, then looked up the number and found this. Glad I did. Just as an fyi, apparently our information was passed around from the Bridal Spectacular show in Las Vegas. I hate that we cannot go and do things and try to get information for our wedding without having our information passed around or sold to telemarketers.

This company is so rude!  I googled the number when I receieved the call because I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize.....It led me to this post.  After reading everything that has been posted, I decided to call them and ask them to remove me from their calling list.  The gentleman that answered was kind at first but quickly turned RUDE when I asked him to remove my number!  He said he wasn't trying to sell me anything but that I has won a prize!  Really?  I didn't even give him my name or number!  When I mentioned this to him his response was...."It's called caller ID!"
I am definitely filing a report!

This is maybe the 5th call from them, and the 1st that they actually said something after I answered. It was a lady, said she was with Resort Stay. She said UMMM after every word. Said that they were calling new residents of Las Vegas, ( I have lived here 6 years ! ) and that I have won a chance to be included in a drawing to win $100,000 to take home with me ? Wait, if I'm supposed to be a new resident, why would I be moving again ? I told her no thanks and hung up.

SCAM ALERT!!!  Out of sheer frustration, I called the number back and had them take both my name and number off their calling list.  This after 2-3 calls per day for weeks.  The person I spoke with said the agents aren't allowed to leave voice messages.  So calling my number and hanging up on the first or second ring is attempting to call me to tell me I won free dinners and trips!  Poor Marketing people and customer capture rates I'm sure!!!  She then asked if she could have another friend or family member's number.  Dream on...

This is a place that will lie to you and say you won a $2,000 vacation asks if you are over $25 with a live in partner. I said yes cool, then set up an appointment to attend this seminar. I then googled the number to learn what I was getting myself into. I went to the Jocky Club connected to the Cosmopolitan and waited in this room, showed them a copy of our gas bill and showed them my credit card, they did not take any numbers otherwise I'd walk out. So my lady and I were in this lunch room next to the pool, eating hostess snacks listening to this gentleman in his 60's explain to us how he has timeshares everywhere and we can use them by buying into this program, they will ask what you do, how much you spend on vacation. The guy was super nice but noticed his shoes were from payless, his attire did not match all the things he says he owned. I kept quiet, watched a movie about timeshares, toured some model rooms, then back to the crowded cafeteria. He show us it is $25,000 to buy in but will do payments, no credit check. RED FLAG! I told him why I came... for the free stuff and living above one's needs is kind of backwards and don't want to invest in something like this. We waited for a manager, Lady from New York or Staten Island came over told us we are cute looking and she can cut us a deal for dirt cheap, I said no and explained why it is not a good idea for me. She then got very upset, we wasted their time, we should never go to seminars like this, and she would not want her kids to go these things either. She shoed us out quickly and met with 3 other people about the prizes had to rate the company but only asked questions that would make it seem like they are cool. We got a voucher to go on a cruise, plane trip to where ever except HI, or a paid hotel in Hawaii.....BUT there are tons deposits, and fees. We got tickets to crappy shows and they were coupons that you can find on the strip anywhere, in magazines, people passing them out, in your hotel room drawer...buy 2 drinks $20 min to see show. We left exhausted and the prizes were not anything we were promised. We were promised $50 visa card, Vouchers for the airlines, and "no catch." I called the night before to verify the prizes too. I called the company to rant and they said their agents are not supposed to lie. A week later I received another call that I won $2000 in vacation explained what happened again and agent got mad and told me there is nothing for free with out a catch and I should have known better. I did know what I was getting into but thought I'd go anyways to experience it and they were much more ruthless than I imagined.

Just got a call from them where they claimed to be Cox Cable (despite my caller ID revealing otherwise: "Resort Stay Int"), stating that we "won" a "$2,000 vacation" prize of some sort. They tried to squeeze us for info on our ages, social security, and our monthly income, on top of being pretty rude in general.
