They called and asked for me by my name.  I answered them and they stated that I had filled out a form on line from Amazon.com and requested information on how to make money working from home.  I told them I don't recall doing so and am not interested in this nor do I want to.  Then she asked why I would not want to make extra money from home.  I then told her first off I don't want to continue this phone call and second I don't recall filling out this form on Amazon.com, online and she hung up on me.  I looked this up and seen that they have mentioned using this Amazon.com line before and requested money, so don't fall for it people.  

I keep getting calls from this number and I answer and they hang up.

No one else reading this page can ''please have them stop calling and lying'' on your behalf. Since you're retired, you should have ample time to read what the FTC says about your options and rights when nuisance sales calls pile on.

I hope it's clear to you three months later that no one reading this can "please stop this number" from doing anything on your behalf. What precisely would you like the management of 800Notes or any of its users to do? Divine your phone number from tea leaves? Nuisance call control is YOUR JOB, not mine. Find out where your callers live, if possible, and MAKE them stop. Hinty-hint: Certified Mail is your friend.

These forums are for call recipients to share their experience and optionally offer advice. They are *NOT* direct open channels to the phone bank boiler rooms we comment upon. The magic phrase you want for salesmen is ''Place my number *on* your Do Not Call list''.

Your callers do not maintain this site or this web page. Your callers cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You cannot expect compliance with your orders until, if possible, you deliver them *directly* to your caller.

It would appear that it is using contacts from LINKED IN.

He has successful experience with this and lots of other consumer protection issues and will help you too.

If you can get them to talk to you, get as much information as you can about the company, Play along, get contacts there.

Then tell them to put you on their internal Do-Not-Call list. Keep records of every call, your phone company will have them. They can show that you talked to them for several minutes. This is your base case. You are telling them specifically and in no uncertain terms to stop.
If they call back (you can now sue them) tell them to send you a copy of their Do-Not-Call policy. They are required by law to provide it.

If they do not stop calling, every phone call is worth money in your lawsuit at least $500.00 per call. No joke. If they don't send you the policy, that is worth money in your lawsuit. Another $500.00. And the judge can triple the award if he finds it was done intentionally (and of course it was.)

I had one company settle at $10,000.00 for this harassment. It does work, but you have to sue.

Once you have everything in place, go find an attorney that will take it. I would post one here that will do it and do it well but it would probably be removed for soliciting. You could also do a web search for Consumer Protection Attorney in your state and you will find someone that can help.

I get the fast busy signal, they call from different numbers all day long!

This number called me and when I answered, they hung up.  I called back and talked to someone who said that I signed up to work for Amazon.  ????
I was bored, so I asked questions and played along.  From what I understood the guy wanted my credit card number and to charge me $299 for a shopping business website affiliated with Amazon.  
I worked for a sales company for a short time and he used all of the techniques, don't get hoodwinked people.

I called the number back, was hung up on when I ask to be removed. I called back and ask to speak to a supervisor a guy said his name was Sally and he was the owner an they want you to sell porn for them.

I was sure it was a telemarketer, and from what I've read on here, it confirmed my suspicions. I'm going to try some of the suggestions on this site and see if they stop calling me. Getting called 4+ times a day, just to get disconnected, is way too many for my taste. This is harassment.

These scums also use the number 7026377684.  They call every night.  First the 7684 number followed by 4027513999.  List says Indian Sprin, NV, and the other just repeats the number.  This has been going on for a week.....answering the phone didn't even stop them.

Repeated calls over 5-7 calls a day.

I have been getting calls from this number, 702-751-3999, at a rate of about 4 calls a day for almost 4 months. When I pick up the phone, no one is there and soon it goes to a busy signal. When I call the number back you just get a busy signal.

This called has called 7 times today. When it first called it showed the number and unavailable. Now it just called and its showing the number in both sections.

Please stop this number 702-751-3999 from calling my home.  Over the last month they have called my home an average of 6 times a day and no one is ever on the phone.  This becomes very irritating and invades our privacy.
