Same thing as EBWolf. We've gotten a rash of texts (usually without a number to trace it to) lately, and now hubby got a call from this number on his cell this evening--when he answered it, there was a recorded messaged saying the same thing EBWolf experienced.
What bothers me most is that with these pre-recorded messages, there appears to be no recourse. Although our home AND cell numbers are each registered with the National Do-Not-Call registry, these unscrupulous companies obviously do not have to adhere to such law or practice, as they just bomb-call and text random numbers and allow their messaging systems to do the dirty work. It's a shame you cannot count on businesses to be legit anymore.

Recorded message on my cell phone said they were sorry but there was a problem with my account and my debit card had been suspended. They gave an 800 number to call or I could press 1 to talk to a rep. I don't have a debit card so I knew it was a scam. My husband received a call identical to that one today as well from 678-387-5093 which is a Georgia number. I will check that one next.
