From what it looks like...its been a while since anyone's left a comment about McGuire research/TPL employment .... i was just wondering if anyone's aware if the company is still in business or not.

In 2002 I strarted work for the TPL company. I recall in my training it was advised against redialing a previous number where someone hangs up before a suvey is completed. I am shocked to read that someone called and cursed at a potential survey taker. I always had a great time at the job, even when I was hung up on. I  worked there for 3 years, and if I lived in Las Vegas today, I would still be employed at TPL. God Bless all the workers there and the people they are calling!

In case a lot of you aren't too bright as to how the "do not call" option works for polls/surveys.

The actual "Do Not Call" registry is only for telemarketing companies that are selling goods or services, it doesn't pertain to political/opinion polls.

The way the "do not call" option works for these polls/surveys is for a specific poll for the moment. So you are pretty much asking not to be called for that one survey.

The callers aren't lazy to push a button to take you off as a few of you completely stupid d***hits have voiced before. In case you haven't figured out the polls/surveys are aimed at voters, so before you whine, complain, and attempt to b***s*** everyone with your ineptitude as to what really goes on, why don't get the clue that it has to do with the fact that you are a f****ng voter.

You know? The type of smug, self-righteous d***hit that is quick to talk about how no one respects his/her opinions or wants to tell a non-voter that they have no right to speak. You know, the type of a***ole that wants to bi*** about government, policies, etc. but is too cowardly to actually voice that opinion in the long run, and then when something gets passed bi****s because he/she cannot figure out why no one asked him/her their opinion.

I am pretty sure a lot of you are worthless f****ng Christians too. Because on the phone you are all pretty brave enough to chew someone out, while cursing and using every racial and sexual epithet you can dream of just because they inconvenienced you somehow. You could be talking to a little old woman who is nice as pie and handicapped, but you choose to take that opportunity to completely and utterly s*** on them, just because they inconvenienced you for a mere two seconds to five minutes.

As a surveyor our job is just as, if not, shittier than any job you c**** will ever experience, unless your job is working in complete filth and waste. You at least have a human resource department that you can go to if something happens in your workplace. We don't get that option.  We work in an environment that takes advantage of people's insecurities by b***s***ting them into thinking that if they don't make a complete survey or enough surveys it is somehow their fault that the stupid, ignorant voter who is too chicken s*** to take just small amount of time just to do a survey to get the one thing they always bi*** that no one wants to listen to, their opinion. Plus if anything happens to them on the job you can't get workman's comp. I see more elder abuse than a f****ng nursing home. Not only are we b***s***ted we are also ripped off in the amount of hours and pay that we manage to work before the management decides to cut corners and totally screw everyone over.

Most of the workers literally have to contemplate whether or not to use the meager amount of money they make at the end of a pay period to either pay their bills or be able to afford food to feed their themselves or their families.

The other thing is the amount of time that it takes to do the surveys is not up to us. It is up to the companies who create these worthless f****ng surveys that takes twenty minutes to half an hour. If we had our way or was up to us we would have the surveys/polls last five minutes or less. That way it would take a short amount of time, everyone can get the hours they needed without sweating that they are going to get cut before the end of their shift and wouldn't have to rely on managers/supervisors who believe their own unrealistic b***s*** they attempt to feed us.

We would also like to keep it on our side of the f****ng continent so as not to call people at the most inopportune time of the day or night.

People expect us to care that we are calling on a Sunday, but forget not all of us are Christians and that includes the companies we work for. I guarantee those of you would be pissed off and feel inconvenienced if you were to go Wal-Mart of any fast-food chain if they were closed on a Sunday. God doesn't want you to miss out on that deal or a f****ng cheeseburger that you s*** on a worker for.

Maybe what a lot of you f****ng idiots might want to exercise is maybe politely refusing to want to participate or put up and give your opinion before something gets passed and you start whining and crying that it went through and you weren't able to give your opinion it beforehand. Maybe the person who shouldn't be able to speak is not the non-voter but the whiny, crying do***ebag who won't berate and s*** on their own parents or family members, but will do it over the phone to a total stranger, because they are feeling inconvenienced.

Saying "Shut the f*** up!" is pretty much pointless since humans lack that ability unless they are born mute. So the best thing I can tell you is either don't answer the phone, put up and actually do the surveys so you can get your opinion out there, or don't register to vote next time around. Also keep your b***s*** religious opinions to yourself instead of including it in your barrage of insults because you feel the world owes you something for nothing.

I love how when you tell the idiots it doesn't matter if they are on the DNC list, they just strike right back with, WAAAA, but I'm on the DNC, lol. I love this job. Thank you. I have worked off and on w/ this co. for years and have to admit that the basic skill set required for employment at TPL is the same as necessary to watch an episode of "Wheel of Fortune". Most of the callers are capable only of following a script and if forced to deviate in any original way from it, they are usually abrasive and offensive. That is why they work over the phone in a position where they do not have to interact with other human beings outside of a controlled situation... These people have almost ZERO people skills for the most part... They are not stupid... Just impulsive, ignorant, obscene, and occassionally threatening.. That is why they work here. If you are lucky enough to get a representative who doesnt sound liike Stephen Hawking reading a pitch, then BE PPOLITE. Most of the callers dont know how to remove you from a list and dont care to ask... They only know to hang up, wait, and read the script... As previously mentioned, if all else fails ask for a supervisor, as they are authorized to release information that an entry-level caller is not. Later Days!

I can understand how annoying it is to be called so late. But it is not the fault of the person calling you.

The do not call list applies to people trying to sell things, not to opinion polls.

You don't understand the do not call law.  It's not as black and white as you think.

If you cry babies don't like your opinions to be heard, move to Russia, or China or anywhere else that don't give a crap about what the people of the country thinks. ok... not a scam! just cause you think it is doesnt mean it is.. i worked at this company.. number 1! there are many ppl who work in the building at one time with lots of outgoing calls, and everytime you pick up the phone to dial someone new, you use a different extension calling out because so many different ppl are on the phones.. so when you try to call back.. you wont get through..
