keep getting a call from inter county records that I have credit card debt and they can help. I have no credit card debt. I press one so I can speak to some one and once I get a representative and tell them I dont need or want their service and just want to be on there do not call list they hang up as fast as they can

Its because your number was used by someone else. and telemarketers dont erase any numbers even if they are disco'd since they know they will be back up and running in no time

I can't believe no-one has done anything about this scam!  I can't believe this scam hasn't been shut down!

I recieved another call from Jeff Cline with a different call back number 800-599-5864 and different caller-ID number and with the company name "Intercounty Records." He also stated it was "imperitive" to call him back.  

The caller ID number was 214-550-2102 which is a number out of Dallas, TX.  I'm researching this further and should be able to post his full contact information soon.  This is a scam!

Called me again!!!  Brad, I changed my cell phone to verizon from Sprint and I think that Sprint sold my number.   I keep getting the phone calls on my old sprint number.  Somebody needs to find this piece of $h!+  !!!!!!!

the exact same as everybody else but i ignorantly, called the 800 number he left to see what was so urgent. What happens now? Will I get more people calling my cell number? question to everyone else...
Did you just change cell phones and keep your old number with a new carrier? I have had the same number for quite some time and just changed... Is this a way they are receiving our numbers???

Recieved this call during class. 3rd time I have recieved call from this number.
They left a voice mail. Did an internet search. NUmber came up on this website.
These people shoudl be stripped of thier ability to make phone calls, and prosecuted for breaking the 800 Registry!

Got the call today (first time)..Said its imperative that I call.  Man alot of people have been getting this crap.  I just canceled my Sprint cell phone and this message was on my voicemail.  Wonder if Sprint sold my number??  Better hope that no one finds you Jeffie Klein or your in for an a#@ whooping!

I receive a phone call EVERY DAY.  I do not answer anymore because I know it is the prerecorded message. That leaves me with the ending of the message from a Mr. Jeffrey Klein saying that "it is imperative that I call him".  This I tried to call back, hoping to get off their call list but eveytime I try, I get to a prerecorded message and get put on hold for a long time.

Yup, same deal, called me at 2:22PM.  No clue who it was, and left the tail end of the message calling him back about my credit cards.

I wish I could find this clown and tell him to back off!!!!

Same ol' Jeffery. It's a number for a debt consolidation firm (Intercounty Records). Spoke to some call center drone named "Star" and had my number removed.

Said I had debt that needed to be settled.  Asked to call back.

yep,he keeps bothering me too... I simply do not answer - ever...and delete the missed call -- only 2 people have this number as it is truly for emergencies only...easy for me to know - anyone else is a spam call...

phone #1-702-939-1119 and 1-800-599-5864 - i filed a complaint with the better business bureau and also submitted a request that this information be investigated, because it is concerning several people over a multitude of states.  i would recommend that no-one call this number for any reason - the contact information could be set up to steal or log specific information electronically.

same as above - got message that it was urgent and i should return call to 1-800-599-5864 - i don't have any credit cards and i don't have a mortgage either.  i did not call this number - it sounded fishy so i googled and found this forum.  i hope someone can explain this!!  thanks for taking my report.

partial call as well, didn't even leave enough of a call back # to call back. when i tried to call the # from caller id it came back as disconnected.

Same As the rest...must be a scam. Glad I Googled instead of calling back the cut off message that was so imperative that we call back about high balance credit cards. Left on our business Phone!!! Don't call back this person "Jeffery Kline"

I just received a message from Jeffery Cline stating it was imperative to call back regarding credit balances etc... leaving the number 1800 599 5864.

I searched the number and came up with this site. I called the number and got onto Liz and immediately stated to be on their Do Not Call List.

Why do we pay for the service of a phone when all it is, is an outlet for Unwanted, Unsolicited Marketing?

I answered a call from 702-939-1119. The call was either a recorded message or someone who has read the same script dozens of times. In either case it did not matter because the caller continued speaking to the end and then hung up.

I tried to interrupt "Jeffrey Klein" as he urged me to call him back about all of my credit accounts. He never paused, he never stopped speaking. Naturally I asked, "Why don't we talk now? Here I am." I spoke just a couple of times so I could hear the whole speech. I'll give a *guess* what this is about.

This caller is trying to collect on very old debts. It may be that these debts are older than seven and one-half years old and/or debts that should no longer appear on a credit report.

The catch: If you have an old uncollected debt that should no longer appear on a credit report *and* you call to discuss it, the collection agency will try to assert this re-starts the clock at zero on the seven and a half year rule about how long debts should stay on your credit report.

The collection agency will then post the bad debt to your credit report as a *new debt*. Some people will be pressured to pay as a result of this so the scheme remains lucrative for collection agencies.

I am not an expert on credit reports or legal issues or the seven year rule or anything like that. I just thought I could help by giving my take on this call. It was an ah ha moment and I may be totally wrong.

I rec'd another message on my cell phone...  with a call back number of (800) 322-8216.  It would be nice if someone would put a stop to this stuff.  very tired of it all.

Call was already in progress when I picked it up on my cell phone. I've received 3 calls or more from this company.  They say I need call them back regarding my credit.

Partial message left on my business phone.  "...606-1485, imperative to return this call". Glad I checked this out.  No plans to return call.

I get the same message from that #.  and the number to call back to is 1-800-599-5864.  When I called back (2 min later) I got a message saying they were closed.  I also get the same message from a number in New York (646) area code.
